Honestly? Sasuke. Naruto always seemed far too immature to be the village head.

Naruto, to me, seems like he would allow emotion to control him too much when making decisions and over look smaller details on day to day business. I think Sasuke would genuinely pay more attention to the paperwork that he is given. Not only shinobi work, but the work given to him for and by civilians.

I hope I don't get hate for this but... Sasuke.

Let me establish first off; I like Naruto better than Sasuke, but from a literary stand point, him becoming Hokage is perfect. Both for what he stands for (Ridding the Hatred from the Uchiha and animosity between them and the Senju) and the obvious inclusion of a battle between Naruto and Sasuke for the title of Hokage. IMO, Kishi set it up perfectly. Sasuke didn't care what they thought and then Naruto had the flashback of Itachi's words. This proves Naruto will have to change Sasuke. Sasuke can't be blunt and hard-headed going into this "I want to be Hokage" idea because he would just be forcing himself upon the village. They will fight over the title, Naruto will inevitably win but to finally rid the world of the Curse of Hatred, he will let Sasuke become Hokage.

Not to mention, Naruto's main motive to become Hokage was acknowledgement and he has already achieved that when he defeated Tendo Pein in Konoha. There is no other motive and seeing as how he will be the next SO6P, Hokage is mincemeat in comparison.

And that's exactly why I think you haven't kept up with Naruto's progress through out the series. Since pain arc, Naruto has been calm and collected.

Sasuke on the other hand, is an emotional wreck. If you think paperwork is the most important part of being a Hokage, you've got it wrong.

Right now, Naruto has more leadership qaulities than Sasuke. Kishimoto only made Sasuke want to be Hokage for them to have their final match.

Sasuke isn't exactly "fit to be a leader". If you know Sasuke's character, you would realize that he's never gonna become Hokage...

Look at all the People who believed Naruto can become Hokage:

Iruka- He believed Naruto can become Hokage before anyone.

Sasuke- Before his fake death against Haku, He told Naruto to never give up on his dream.

Tsunade- she believed in him and look at everything she's done for him, just so he can become Hokage.

Jiraya- even he believed that Naruto would become Hokage. He trained Naruto and taught Naruto everything he believes in.

Minato and Kushina- They died to protect him. They entrusted everything to Naruto and Naruto inherited their dream to become Hokage.

Granny chiyo- entrusted the future Shinobi world to Naruto and Garaa. She made Naruto promise to be a better Hokage than the previous generation.

Kakashi, Yamato, Garaa... And the village- They all believe in Naruto and some wanted him to become Hokage.

Even during this war, Naruto has fought for his dream. If Naruto doesn't become Hokage, Kishimoto will contradict himself...

Give me an example of Sasuke's good leadership skills? Last time I checked he stabbed his teammate and was ready to get rid of Taka before he had his talk with Itachi. Sasuke is selfish and only cares about himself... That makes him a bad leader

I guess jiraya is Nº1 in bingo book then. Konoha betrayed whole his clan, not just random sad story any other shinobi could face.

You really don't know about shinobi, do you? A ninja leaving the village without permission to join the enemy is what you call a traitor.

And he left for a different reason, not because Konoha killed his whole clan. He only found that out after Itachi died.

EDIT: I'm still waiting for an example on Sasuke's good leadership skills...
