Honestly, Hashirama seemed pretty impressed by Sakura, and said she might be stronger than Tsunade. Sakura boldly stated that her chakra control is superior to Tsunade's when she said she doesn't have to focus her chakra on looking young. Sakura obviously surpassed Tsunade, what's the big deal?

Hashirama used the word might, clearly. So Kishi himself didn't confirm that Sakua has really surpassed Tsunade. Plus, the second statement wasn't about Sakura claiming that she's better in chakra control than Tsunade. She means that she can use her full chakra storage as she doesn't have to allocate a portion of her chakra to look young. On the othrr hand, Tsunade is simultaneously using her seal, enhanced strength and keeps activated the jutsu to make herself look young. Which makes Tsunade have a higher and better chakra control.

I still don't see how she would survive the flames of Amaterasu... Or even a Rasenshuriken(Not thrown as that would go through her and she would just regen) to the face...
