SM - Allows hims to grasp everything that's happening over countires.
Henge-no-jutsu - Fools almost everyone.
Mass Kage Bunshins - The fastest way to gather information.

okay fine I get it. Naruto can pin point the whereabouts of the guy before even leaving konoha using kcm. But once he gets out of konoha he has to remain in his normal mode. No mass shadow clones will even be necessary. What Naruto has to do is to capture the guy and then use a shadow clone who could pose to be the bandit until Naruto is out of village with him. The only question is- How would Naruto carry the guy without anyone noticing? He cannot use sm/bm/kcm in public for obvious reasons.

Also when Naruto shadow clone pretends to be the captured person, there is a chance that he might screw up.

Because of these liabilities using a team based strategy like Ino's MT or Sasuke's genjutsu would be better options for transporting the captive.

Mission objective- You have to capture a former bandit leader who is supposedly hiding in a small village

you have to Infiltrate the village and gather information, identify the whereabouts of the disguised bandit leader and then capture him alive and take him back to konoha-(Note the bandit is a mid jonin level shinobi who also specialises in genjutsu and katon release)

Only catch is you have to stay low because if anyone finds out about this capture attempt, it would mean ninja war because this small village is under the hidden waterfall village. This is an absolute covert mission no mistakes allowed.

You must pick a leader from the list of genins and chunins who would make every single calls in the mission and then pick 3 squad members. (1 Leader and 3 team member) ranks are negligible here you can pick a genin to lead the squad as well

Medical ninja would be great so i would pick - INO + Mind transfer,
Then i need tracker so i would pick- shino...
And i dont need any1 else especially (Naruto, kiba, lee) Too stupid for this mission.
So mby i would take -Tenten- she could use her lady charm

I have two good heads (Sasuke and Shino) I have tracking skills (Shino), capture skills(Ino), and strenght (Sasuke)... And lady power ... But i dunno about Ino she could be to loud, but she is perfect for mission like this,

This is how Naruto carries out the mission -

I'm not sure he can use the transf. jutsu when in KCM mode, and you are overrating his sensor abilities. He could sense people (KCM) and surroundings (SM) but pinpointing is another story. I'm also unsure of why you think clojnes are immune to genjutsu. Perfect jinchuuriki are immune to genjutsu but only if they realize they're in it.

That said, even giving you all these points without debating, I still fail to see how making a platoon of 15 transformed clones who are really bad at acting is a better stealth option than using four people, of whom only one two need to enter the village.

It IS doable the way you described, but I just feel it is inefficient. It wastes a lot more chakra, too.

Sasuke would be the leader. His quiet, smart and generally composed and has a history of sneaking in and out of villages without being caught until he goes in for a massive attack. He is a Genjutsu master and can safely bring back the bandit and make those who saw the team, forget they did.

Shino is quiet and obedient and will be apart of the team. His sensory skills are excellent which improves the overall teamwork of the team. He is also quite smart. The same reasons will apply to Hinata who will be joining the team, mainly due to her Byakūgan. The final member will be Rock Lee. He listens well and will give his 200% effort. He can easily murder anyone in his way with the simple kick of his foot. It is was quite smart of you to restrict Shikamaru as I had to put more thought into this.

1. link? Even if I already said that even if shadow clones weren't susceptible to location-altering genjutsu (and I strongly suspect they are susceptible to them) it still doesn't change anything. Nonetheless, please link.

2. sure, if you can read the surroundings you can sense someone fighting. Pinpointing someone that you never saw before, whose chakra you cannot recognize, is going into hide is an entirely different story.

3. that's only logical, given that shining brightly has no tactical advantage in combat, I am free to think that Naruto automatically shines in KCM. In which case, it's not granted that he can assume a non-shining form.

You cannot kill anyone, cannot start a fight, cannot be noticed, can't even reveal your presence. Your plan is inefficient to achieve that and the ninja you have chosen hasn't the right personality for it. Period.

It's either Ino (Mind-Body Switch), Sasuke (very strong at genjutsu*) or Sakura (smart and apt with hidden traps and poisons) as leader and Team 8 for tracking.

* (I admit that I forgot Sasuke could do something good in such instance too)
