Both Chakra controls are different. For BM mode the bond needs to be perfected for better consumption or usage of Kurama's chakra which is the reason he developed from simply using a shroud, to KCM, and then to BM, but he still lacks perfection. My argument still stands.

The term 'reflect' is specifically used. He moved at a high speed and reflected them before they hit the ground. You can even see Naruto's trail and BDs bouncing back. Gai simply said: "What was that? This speed..." Meaning he didn't know what happened, but simply sensed a whooshing sensation. No where does he say that Naruto deflected anything with speed.

Obito on the other hand only said 'reflected'. This is what happened. Pay more attention.

Explain the speed discrepancies in KCM. Naruto does posses horrible chakra control in base mode. Even in Sage mode, it isn't all too interesting. There has to be a reason for this lack of evenness in speed performance. No one is denying Naruto's speed feats, but the lack of consistency.
