She used the hyakugo due to the extreme conservation of chakra she is using and because she doesnt use it to look young which is tsunade's weakeness, she has to use the byakugo to look young and conserve large amounts of chakra, that is why is some way its weaker.

Just a thought..but I think that tech is weaker than byakugou's capabilities. Sakura not being uzumaki and senju would shorten her life span immensely if she was to use byakugou so she learned something with less serious side effects. Just my opinion.
