[Discussion] Why Obito doesn't use all of the Rinnegan's Techniques (PROOF)

If you think Obito really hasn't mastered the rinnegan, you're false. He can use all of the rinnegan's techniques, but he doesn't choose to.

Reason 1: Because the leaf village knows about the rinnegan's techniques, and they've figured out ways to counter it. It'd be dumb for him to even use most of the techniques in the first place.

Reason 2: MASSIVE Chakra drain. He already has the sharingan active. To use all of the Rinnegan's techniques in the battlefield would cause his chakra to just drop.

Agreed, But it is weird that he wouldn't use those because of possible counters they may have but he continues on using Kamui when he knows full well the can counter it, You cant even counter half the paths anyway I hope he starts using them now its not like the Bijuus are a restriction anymore.

I agree, he doesn't have enough power to use them. We know for a fact he can use Samsara of Heavenly Life, which is arguably one of the most powerful techniques of the Rinnegan.

Well of course he is. He only has so much chakra, and to have the rinnegan and sharingan active at the same time drains it a lot. PLUS using the rinnegan's techniques? That'd just be dumb, considering that the ninja alliance has already came up with counters.

so like, i mean, obito... who has like half his body as a container of chakra with hashirama's cells, worries about draining too much chakra to use a couple rinne techs.... not likely. Like with Danzo, hashirama's cells is said to reduce chakra usage in techs. I certainly dont think obito lacks chakra: A he is an uchiha, B half of him is hashirama, C this dude was trained by madara himself, D he trained Itachi too, which further backs the fact that this guy is no wimp.

I feel he is more comfortable with the sharingan simply because they are his legit eyes. Also, he didnt just implant them like 70 chapters ago. The same way with Madara. He didnt just start off the battle using rinne techs because he could. He warmed up a little and briefly showed off some techs just like obito. And no1 can say madara doesnt have enough chakra because he literally has a limitless amount (hax) and hashirama's cells to further reduce consumption of chakra.

I agree with your premise, 'knows the tech's choosing not to use them'.

your first reason makes sense for that specific encounter, but your second reason I don't agree with.

I do agree that attempting to control 7 (i think i forget the exact number) of the most powerful entities in their universe would take a considerable amount of chakra, thus disabling obito's ability to do much of anything else besides that. But at the same time you still need that much chakra to even attempt something like that. Obito is not silly (i hope, he kinda did start a war with every village... to vs solo) even doing that he knew better than to run outta chakra.

Now granted he has been running full steam for quite some time handling his business, I dont recall seeing obito ever having to catch his breath outside of that moment. I see naruto get tired and virtually every1 else that isnt already dead. He just keeps pumping out techs and kamui like its nobody's business. I think its just his playstyle to use his sharingan over the rinnegan in generic battle

second, what does having his sharingan active all the time have anything to do with a significant chakra drain. He is an uchiha, and itachi had his eyes open for years till he died, he probably forgot what his actual eye color is. On top of that he has hashirama's cells to further decrease w/e drain is going on. Negligible at best.
