If Sasuke were hokage

Sasuke in my opinion still has a very childish mindset towards the Uchiha incident. Yet, he wants to be hokage. So I'm curious, how he would have reacted if he were in the Third's shoes as the Uchiha were planning the coup d'état. How would he have managed the situation. The Uchiha had stopped peace talks and didn't listen to those among them who wanted peace. So would Sasuke risk the village or his family?

Sasuke would probably risk the village IMO, he cares for his family too much but not enough about the village to make the best decision for it if his family was on the line.

If Sasuke somehow was Hokage at the time, he probably would have changed the Uchiha as Itachi later predicted he could have. He would have grown up in a life were Itachi didn't kill his clan and undoubtedly protected his younger brother from his family's evils, and he would have stayed in the village and been friends with Naruto.

What makes you think they would have left, the Uchiha obviously thought they had as much right to Konoha as the Senju did.
