Everyone knows Masashi Kishimoto who wrote Naruto, but not everyone knows his twin brother, Seishi, who created a manga called 666 Satan (O-Parts Hunter). 666 Satan is one of my favorite manga and I noticed something a while back while reading it that I want to share with the people here at NarutoBase.

This guy above is an OPT with a sword that has black flames that burn until the target is burned completely. This is the same as Amaterasu.

Before people say Masashi's brother copied him, I want you to know that the 666 Satan picture is from chapter 3, which was released in 2001 while the first appearance of Amaterasu was in 2003.
Do you guys think Masashi copied Seishi or did he just get some inspiration from his twin? Or was it just a coincidence?

P.S. There are many other similarities in these two manga series and I recommend 666 Satan to anyone who is a Naruto fan (which would be everyone here I'd assume).

That guy looks like black star and I'm sure he asked him for permission

They probably don't care that they use the same type of ideas in each other's manga. They are brothers after all.

They're brothers so I doubt that it's plagiarism. I'm pretty sure they bounce ideas off eachother and use eachother as inspiration

So what, he took one little idea from his brother. I'm pretty sure they both discussed it and Kishi brother gave him permission to use it.

A kid with white and black hair, is quite similar with character That Kishi drew " Itama"
That's means Kishi copied his brother's manga.
Edit: They are brother after all..

Considering they were twins, they probably talked over their manga a lot and tosses idea's around. It's very possible that Amaterasu was influenced by Seishi and Seishi gave Kishi permission to use the ability in his own manga.

Legally, I don't think a blood relation matters. Plagiarism is plagiarism.

Either way, Amaterasu comes from Japanese mythology. So...no. He didn't copy Masashi, or vice versa.

I believe Black Flames are a symbolic thing and part of Japanese mythology. Amaterasu has existed for centuries as a Shinto God. Could be homage or identical inspiration but not plagiarism.

The sun goddess Amaterasu doesn't actually have to do anything with black flames. Kishi just used that name because it's a left eye MS ability and the goddess Amaterasu was born from the left eye of her father Izanagi.

They're brothers, does it really matter? They probably use ideas from each other or are inspired by the same things.

Well they are brothers, who both write manga. So they are bound to share ideas at some point. But Amaterasu is mythological which has other merit to it and Kishi probably wrote past the inclusion of Amaterasu by 2001 (Probably had up to the Pein arc thought out).

They're both "Kishi", bro.
