Anyone here played the game? Initially I didn't plan on getting it because despite the many good reviews, the game looked too childish for me. Thankfully I ultimately decided on getting the game and I must say, I am quite impressed. I wasn't expecting a somewhat cross between classic jrpg mechanics and pokemon but needless to say I feel this game is deserving of one of those game of the year titles and I'm still in the beginning stages of the game. Definitely recommend it to anyone who misses the old rpg days.

*No spoilers please*

To be honest, I have the game right next to me at the moment. As soon as I'm done with the current RPG I'm playing, I'm going to play Ni No Kuni.

I heard the game is quite large, though. About 40 hours of game play if you just stick to the story. And about 80-90 hours if you actually complete everything.

I played a bit of it since my friend let me borrow it, and I got to the sewer part and couldn't really get into it. Not a bad game at all, just not my type.

Yep it is indeed, I decided to download it and it was about 20 gb. But its those games that I feel are worth the money rather than some standard overrated 10-15 hour game

That's understandable, everyone has their own tastes.
