Does Kakashi understand that he is still alive because Obito said so?

It's just Obito who keep begging for TNJ, because he is not the masked man we used to love with his appearance anymore.
Obito can finish him off, they are inside his dimension, these are his eyes, he saved Kakashi's life, he suffered the most in team Minato.

What Kakashi has is the eye that keeps him alive but not for long if Obito decide to kill him by simple use of his Mokuton.
We even don't know if Kakashi can use his Raikiri more than once which is useless against him anyway...

Tsk, the only reason why Kakashi is still on his feet after using Raikiri and Kamui so many times is only because of Kishimoto.

Well idk. I think kakashi's pretty strong. The thing is, the series definitely hyped up obito to be like this really strong character, but honestly in these chapters he's really started to look like just another villain. I mean all he does is materialize and re-materialize. Of course, he was tauntingly dangerous when he had control over the other bijuu..

Yeah someone with split personalities is clearly the same as they've always been. First the guy is a lighthearted pansy, then turns in to a psychopath, then acts like a lighthearted pansy, then a psychopath again and now he is what, trying to figure Naruto out for some reason.
