Orochimaru didn't used his full power, like the 10K snakes, Manda, other boss summons, etc.

In hte first place, can Orochimaru summon Manda in the restricted zone(the zone which the sound 4 produced)?apart from that,Hiruzen did the DDS in order to seal the Edos and Orochimaru,so we dont know wat else hiruzen had in his sleeve

he was full healthy and had all his jutsu
either if he couldn't summon Manda because ET spent most of his chakra or because Hiruzen was too fast it was a high diff victory
which means old Hiruzen was close to healthy Oro in power
young Hiruzen (most likely) >> Sannin level

I'm a Hiruzen fan, but, his old age and lack of killing intent would have done him in. Orochimaru was the worst enemy for him, really. He had too much of an emotional attachment to him. Also, like Enma said, the state you saw him in was pathetic compared to what he was a decade ago.

The location was to small to summon the giant snakes. This is why he lost, and not because the Edo tensei used too much chakra.

its true that edo doesn demand much chakra but the main reason why hiruzen chose the DD seal was because killing orochimaru will not affect th edos and the edos will destroy konoha.wat i am saying is, it is possible that Hiruzen might have had many powers(or techniques) up his sleeve,since he is known as God of Shinobi(the only others being SO6P and Hashi) but he couldn use his trump cards( if he had any it should be revealed in the coming chapters) since the main objective is to stop the edo and orochimaru which is thru the DDS.
