but is double posting really as bad a multi posting.

as they technically are to separate things by definition

There is simply no need for double-posting. You can always edit the first post and just separate ideas with lines or spaces.​

Sometimes Double Post happens by Net problems. You can delete the Double Post.
But if you wantedly post more than double times, you may get an infraction.

Double posting and multi-posting is the same and treated the same. You may get a warning or infraction for doing so, depending on the moderators judgement.
