Anybody else getting the feeling that there won't be a final clash?

After seeing this "Sasuke For Hokage" campaign he's just put out there, and the influence he's going to have on this war, I'm getting the feeling that there won't be a final showdown between the two anymore, or at least not a battle to the death/ not a serious one. Knowing kishi it'll probably be another Chuunin Exam Naruto vs Sasuke the Half-God ninjas with absolutely no rank or political power.

Honestly I had a feeling Sasuke would go "good" at least somewhat, but this is too much. After everything he's done I hope he challenges Naruto for the title and dies. I mean, I didn't want him to die before because I figured he would still be a missing nin that Naruto would keep in touch with and use as a spy or military asset. But now...it just takes too much nerve to disregard what he's done and then try to steal his friend's dream because he thinks he is so much smarter than all the previous kage.

I think the whole 'Sasuke for Hokage' things gives them a reason to fight, otherwise the fight would have no ethos to it so I think its a good thing.

OT: Yeah, Returning to the village was a complete shock, and I always figured he was a underground vigilante rather than a vllage head, having him die would be tragic, but the way things are going I completely agree

That's what I thought as well, unless they're going to fight for the title of Hokage like others are saying, but why fight to the death for it?

Didn't Orochimaru say he was still interested in Sasuke's body all the chapters ago when he came back but he claimed to not be strong enough yet, I can possibly see him taking control of Sasuke's body and Naruto having to fight him that way? but idk, so many things could happen still.

Plot no Justu?? I mean even if they do fight for Hokage, it would be too friendly and only worth the time of a filler episode or two. If one of them accidentally lands a fatal blow they have to call sakura <_<
