Many people are trying to compare Sakura to Naruto and Sasuke because of chapter 631. And I believe that she definitely has owned up to walk beside her fellow comrades at this point. Throughout the naruto series sakura has always been like a little cry baby.. while naruto and sasuke (and Kakashi) did the hard stuff, fight haku, gaara, and fodder-nin. While out on missions in part1 sakura analyzed opponents ninjustu and often narrated the fights considering her purpose was to be support.
That's Sakura's role SUPPORT!! and considering she wasn't much support back then, she has become nearly 10x more important now, her training with Tsunade was rigorous and she still apparently has some new tricks as stated in chapter 631.
With Chiyo, She took out Sasori in the beginning of part2. I think this was the first time we've ever seen sakura take the lead in a fight. Trying to compare her to the other members of her team in terms of raw power or speed is fodder.. considering that isn't her role.
OLD TEAM 7 (part1)
Naruto = Attacker (Rushes in with full power often times wasting 80% of his chakra if not all of it; keeping the opponent at bey)
Sasuke = Assassin (Strategically learns the opponents moves, and lets naruto be his distraction for powerful moves)
Sakura = Fodder (Often times watching, yelling, screaming, crying, or talking to her innerself)
New Team 7 (part2 w/o Sai)
Naruto = Same
Sasuke = Same (But alot more aggressive and alot less thinking because of anger; it's unknown if he will continue to be reckless as seen against kages and danzo, but I'm going with recent facts)
Sakura = SUPPORT (unlike when they were kids in part1 saukra now has offensive attacks including her super strength and poisons; but her main ability is to heal and backup. Making her an ideal support character.
Throughout the war sakura has healed hundreds of fodder-nin and some main characters, including naruto. Her role is support, many compare her to naruto and sasuke in terms of raw power, destructive techniques such as Kirin and TBB.. and overwhelming chakra and to do so outweighs her role as a healer and support ninja.
But what do you think?
