I think Sasuke has a lot more to feel awkward about with Sakura than Naruto. They always fought, were always rivals but Sakura gave him her friendship and love and always believed in him, then later on she tried to kill him and he tried to kill her. Something not uncommon with Naruto but with her, things wouldn't be easy.

Aha, no problem. Though in all honesty, I agree with you. Sasuke's lack of recognition for Naruto is a little awkward. Then again. . .if I ran away from my village, killed my brother, tried to kill my old team mates, etcetera. . .meeting back up with my best friend would, in fact, be a little awkward. Sasuke is probably just a little gun shy.

I agree, I think that they have moved beyond words. The last few times they met, there wasn't a whole lot of talking, compared to normal Naruto rambling on. Naruto kept emphasizing how they understand each other through their fists. I think it was just a sign that Naruto was the only one not suprised to see Sasuke change his mind and return to the good side. So there was no need for a drawn out greeting or explanations with Naruto, they both knew they had to get down to business.

You have a point there, but we still don't know how sasuke feels about Sakura "actually even naruto" and its not like he didnt try to kill him "twice?",but since he did apologize to Karin I can say he will to Sakura maybe kishi is leaving it to an epic moment or "the eyes speaks thingy" which happens a lot between team7.
I do agreethough Sakura offered him a lot and it's not he apologized to Karin when they were alone to assume he is waiting for that moment, he apologized in front of the 4 HOKAGES, so I seriously dunno how this is gonna end.. But even though Sakura offered him love, it doesn't change the fact that his and naruto's relationship is deeper in a way..

I'm one of the people that really loved chapter 631. However, for some reason something about it felt strange. I finally realized what that was. After Sasuke arrived, he completely ignored Naruto. That's not exactly the exciting reunion I was hoping for.

Neglect? He just declared he was still going to be a rival and set up another challenge for Naruto's by declaring himself to be in the run for the Hokage seat. =D

As Itachi said " one who is acknowledged by everyone becomes hokage"- Sasuke needs to be acknowledged as Leaf's trusted nin at this time, whether he becomes hokage or not is immaterial.

If Sasuke is even considered to be in the race it means he has a place in Konoha. Everyone dismissed his statement about Hokage despite his skills except Naruto. Naruto's expression was rather petulant but he understood what it meant. If Naruto accepts the challenge he will be motivating others to do so to and thus Sasuke will be acknowledged and he will be keeping his promise with Itachi. IMO he is going to accept it.

I think the fact that he treated Naruto in that special way says more about how he thinks of him.
