I agree I believe with KA alone in a VS no Akatsuki member can beat him. Or anyone, can easily defeat him imo KA is too OP. Even Obito wanted Shisuis eye badly. Just my opinion with KA Itachi is nearly unbeatable, and adding his arsenal of other attacks he's a magnificent talent no doubt about it.

I like Itachi more than Obito, but it's clear that Obito is the strongest Akatsuki member. Itachi has no way of touching him while Obito has counters to everything Itachi has in his arsenal.

As for Nagato: On a 1vs1 situation, Chibaku tensei would be countered by Totsuka and chou Shinra tensei countered by Yata's deflective properties. I don't see Nagato having counters for Tsukuyomi let alone Izanami or kotoamtsukami. ​

The Gedo is his summon, it's his ability.
Totsuka only pierced an Edo body and Orochimaru's body. It says it seals everything it pierces but, it doesn't say it can pierce everything.
Obito has Tsukuyomi himself, he wouldn't fall for that.
Itachi can barely keep up his Susano'o for 5 minutes.
Obito most likely knows about Izanami.
Madara's Gunbai blocked a TBB from BM Naruto.
Totsuka can't even hit Obito because of Kamui.

The six paths of pain/nagato can easily force Itachi on the defensive for an extended period of time...wearing out Itachi until he dies of chakara exhaustion.

Rinnigan sees through any genjutsu and with six paths, Itachi cannot hold all of them under a genjutsu.


Obito can't be touched and his Sharingan will help him avoid most genjutsu Itachi casts.
