About minato having kyubi mode, I have an explanation....
He was a hokage, who had a wife, who was a Jinchurikki for a while right? So what if minato had deviced a method to extract some amount of Nine-tail's chakra from Kushina (while she was already alive) and then seal it inside him with a seal to create a powerful jutsu?? He might have then learned to control that chakra thus entering the kyubi mode.
And since edo tensei revives people when they were in their prime, it revived minato in the form where he already had some part of Kurama's chakra sealed within him. That's just an explanation I thought of....
