What on earth is in kishi's mins?
There are two options for naruto:
1. To become hokage and let sasuke fall to the darkness again
2. To give up his dream.

It would be impossible for naruto to decide. Altrough kishi might be trolling and naruto will just give up gladly to sasuke.

There's no guarantee that he would fall back into darkness at this point. Naruto is more than capable of changing things for the better

Sasuke wanting to be Hokage is just for there to be a final fight between him and Naruto at the end.

Sasuke is like a supremely powerful spoilt child, what he doesn't get his way makes him change to the winning side, great character just annoys me with his constant batting skills

He wont give up. It was done so that we could still have the ultimate battle betweent hem

So basically if Sasuke doesn't get what he wants he will go psycho, that's like a child throwing a tantrum because he didn't get the candy.

I doubt Naruto has those two options.

He can have his dream and help Sasuke achieve his own goal.

This was done to reform the rivalry between them, I think that in the end Sasuke will entrust Naruto to make the right decisions and not make the previous Hokages mistakes.

Sasuke wanting to become Hokage is to set up the final Naruto vs. Sasuke fight. The person who will become Hokage will be decided by that fight.
