So there were some things in this chapter that didn't quite like however certain implications were that can tell us more about Tsunade.
Now, I would argue first and foremost what ever it is Sakura is about to display, unless it's genjutsu, Tsunade also possess.
Why? Notice what Sakura says and how heavily it relies on Tsunade.
It's apparent from the first red box that Sakura attributes her strength to Tsunade's training. And she goes on to say the reason that she shouldn't be underrated is because she is Tsunade's student. Which leads me to believe that what she is about to use next, her full power, is an ability Tsunade possess and trained Sakura to use.
I highly doubt that she is about to use byakugou as Tsunade blatantly says she is the only one who knows it.
So what else would require Sakura to amass a large amount of chakra, and if Tsunade does possess the ability Sakura is about to use why didn't she use it against Madara? I'm not going to speculate too heavily as to what I think she is about to use if you know me, you already know my mind on the matter.
But we see Tsunade, too eventually trying to accumulate chakra. But she stops when Susanoo goes all droopy.
Could it have been that Tsunade was about to reveal the technique Sakura was about to use?
I think so, I think the reason that Tsunade herself didn't display "Sakura's full power" is because Kishimoto needed to allow Sakura a moment to shine in a way that Tsunade has yet to do so. Furthermore, notice how long it took Sakura to prepare her chakra, in every panel we had seen of Tsunade she was usually doing something. She started the battle kicking Madara and then immediately began healing. The next time we see her she is healing Mei. Then she goes on the offensive. Thus she really didn't have time to collect chakra, as she was constantly using her own on a rather large scale. I suspect, we've not seen the last of Tsunade in the war and that she too will come forth using this technique. Also if a single technique would have made Sakura comparable in strength to Tsunade, then she would have no need to be terrified of Tsunade.
Because Kakashi essentially stopped training Sakura, during the chuunin exams (I mean he seemed completely unaware of Sakura's growth)
, and we know that her teachers since then have been Tsunade and Tsunade's other apprentice, we can reason the skills she has acquired are from her master.
Also the way in which Sakura has been said to have a chance at surpassing Tsunade has been in terms genjutsu, thus, if this is not a genjutsu I would argue Kishi does not yet intend to have her surpass Tsunade yet.
Side Note: (I didn't feel like creating a new thread for this so ) What do you think Gai's statement involving HOKAGE level means here, he could have easily said kage level, but he specifically said hokage level.
Note that Guy did not say these four hokage or those four hokage, he said four ninja of hokage level.
