Is Attack on Titan or "Shingeki no Kyojin" becoming over hyped?

This Anime is becoming very VERY popular and I am one of the fanboys for the Anime right now. My question is... Is this Anime being over hyped and if so is it a good or bad thing?

It's been overhyped and overrated since day 1, and for many it's because it's non moe. Yes, it is bad.

And yes, it's a bad thing that it's overhyped because once minor issues/problems/hiccups appear at a later stage, some die-hard fanboys would regard it as major disappointments. The higher the hype, the higher the rants would be for petty things...Which is sad because, the series could be enjoyed thoroughly without having high expectations as it got nearly all good elements for a great shounen.

That is exactly what I think will happen. The hype is good for only one thing, and that is getting the Anime even more popular.

Same thing happened to sword art online. i never watched it cause i heard it was complete trash.

Its just that Shingeki no Kyojin is different than the usual anime. it'll die out.

Actually from a general perspective I don't think it's overhyped as it's pretty good from what I've heard, but on this forum alone it is overhyped, just like K Project, Sword Art Online etc. It ruins the series imo.

It's off-putting to want to watch this anime because of the fandom just ruining it with their fangirl screams and everything.

I watched 7 eps.... It's good.... But we can't really say whether it's over hyped until we read the manga.... Maybe after being made into an anime AOT got a sudden jump in attention and a lots of people read the manga as well after watching the eps.... And the manga gets interesting and epic so the anime got it's hype that way.... =D =D
