I don't understand why people are so shocked... the 3rd hinted that if Itachi didn't have to do what he did to save the village and Sasuke, he would've made a perfect candidate for hokage (This isn't hype or any bullshit). Sasuke also decided to protect the village now... so what is the most logical and best position he can take to stop the cycle of hatred and also protect what he holds close to him now? Hokage. I saw this coming since his answer and honestly, I'm ok with that. I do believe both him and Naruto will end up being duel hokage by the end of this... either that or Naruto will hold a higher purpose as maybe an overall Kage and peace keeper of all the villages and keeping the alliance going.
