Sasuke and becoming Hokage

Sasuke said he doesn't care what anyone thinks he wants to be hokage then naruto remembers what itachi said about its everyone who acknowledges you will become hokage
Everyone acknowledges naruto more than sasuke so far

It's not a contest,they both have the potential to become great Hokages...But I guess Sasuke really wants Hokage title not because of the village,more because he wants to make Itachi's dreams come true...But after everything I think he would be a great Hokage, he is joining the war to fight for Konoha,people who practically murdered his family,that says a lot..

I actually think that Sasuke would make a better hokage more because of his intelligence.

Naruto only has the power and admiration of the village, but with the conditions I put above, even Sasuke could have the same recognition, which puts him one step above naruto in the running to become hokage.

I meant if people actually FORGAVE HIM. Meaning they no longer hold those actions against him.

He should not be forgiven; no matter how he contributes he does not deserve to be in the same level with other innocent people whom he wanted to slaughter.
If he would be one; he should change himself to a less arrogant individual then. He can not be a good hokage if he spouts stuff like "i don't care about what you think of my past actions", he should care first...By his development so far, he is not fitting any good defination; Naruto would be better.

I genuinely thought sasuke was taking the piss when I said he wanted to become hokage. I seriously expected him to be saying "lol joke" in the next panel. His past aside I would say sasuke makes better hokage than naruto in terms of intelligence and leadership. However naruto has done so much for the village that he deserves the title a lot more.

I don't think so. He doesn't seem like a people guy. He'll just do whatever he thinks is right, and won't take into consideration the opinion and feelings of others.

considering the story between hashirama and madara.. the next hokage should be of uchiha .. that nly will be fair to clan.. but i also think hard that naruto would give up on his dream which he cherished so much... :'(

The thing is that Sasuke knows that they don't know about his change and he does not care about what they think of his past actions. Hes not saying he doesn't care about them, he is saying he doesn't care about their attitude towards his former self.

That's the problem, a leader needs to listen to his subordinates, what the village thinks of him is very important. The fact that he doesn't care that the village hates him and still says he will be Hokage shows that he thinks he is right and that he must force his beliefs upon the village.


The Hokage position is chosen through democracy, what Sasuke is saying is that he will be Hokage whether the village likes it or not. That right there shows to me that he would be a bad leader.
