There are a few people trying to deny that Minato is in fact in Bijuu mode, which is why I'm here to clear up the misunderstandings.

Minato is in Bijuu mode, not chakra mode. Chakra mode is just Naruto accessing Kurama's chakra in exchange for him chewing his up. The reason why he can use Chakra mode for however long now is because they're friends now, so Kurama's just giving him a free pass. Bijuu mode is when Kurama and Naruto fuse chakras, correct me if I'm wrong. The reason Naruto has Kurama's eyes... Is because Kurama is actually inside I him, the physical com of Kurama.

Now. People try and use that cape thing as a reason to why he's not in the mode, which is just false. The cape is a sign of ascension, and since he was wearing a cape already, you can't really call it. Anyway, there designs are different because they use different seals. People are also saying his design is more similar to KCM Naruto, which is also false. Look at they're hands. BM Naruto and BM Minato have the same hand symbols. So, Minato really just jumps from Base to Bijuu mode. He doesn't have that physical copy of Kurama inside of him, just the chakra. So since there's no force holding him back, or no beast holding back his full power, he can automatically fuse their chakra and access Bijuu mode.

So there you go.

A Bijuu themselves in Minatos case is t necessary because he already has the chakra. KCM is just accessing Kurama's chakra. BM is fusing the beast chakra and your own into one.

I really dont need to, look at naruto's KM, his BM & Minato's KM. You'll see the obvious similarities (not talking about the cloak or hands, but the seal itself).

I know that he's definitely above Kcm, when Naruto first transformed the markings on his arms moved down onto his hands just like Minato. Kcm doesn't have markings covering much of his legs compared to Minato.

He's either somewhere in between the modes or bm.

I will say this one last time. He is in KCM.

1. Naruto has markings on his hands in KCM similar to Minato (slightly different), he also has near matching upper body appearance.

2. Naruto in BM has Kurama's eyes, 6 lines on his face, and 3 markings on his cloak.

I also have a theory. If you look at Naruto in KCM you see the lines open towards his legs while Minato in KCM ha the lines open towards his head. I think this symbolizes their Yin/Yang nature and will connect when Minato gives back Kurama's chakra.

Minato is in a MIX because he does not possess a tailed beast through which both beings act as the controller of the same body and chakra that has been melded, therefore it is NOT BM, but because of certain marking on his clothes in this mode (connecting hand/feet markings, magatama on collar) it is clearly an ASCENDED version of KM.

This happened because unlike Naruto, Minato had direct access to the chakra and was able to meld it into his own chakra, but he doesn't have the actual tailed beast that influences the other changes on the outside of the body.
