I saw it on the movie, where menma and naruto are fighting, then the kyuubi tells naruto that if he dies, he will be trapped inside.. so he better don't die..

Kurama didn't know for sure that he'll come back. Only Sanbi has shown to die and come back. That or he noticed the resemblance between the Rikudo and Naruto.

Because naruto is the true successor of the S06P.

i think kurama is the one who knows SO6P more than anyone...once naruto get the kyuubi chakra and turned to KCM,kurama said IMPOSSIBLE(appearance of naruto gets like SO6P)...
maybe kurama saw the potential that naruto can be like SO6P exclusive of threads about that make sense about NARUTO will be next So6p

No the kyuubi won't be released if naruto dies, the kyuubi will be trapped inside naruto's dead body..
that's why Kurama will not let him die at the begining, but now he trust him xD

No, but seriously it's because at the time it was believed that a bijuu would die along with their host. I believe now we know that that the bijuu will just get recreated elsewhere but the process is long.

Kurama probably felt his chance to escape was better if he just waited patiently and waited to pounce on Naruto's moments of rage. He does get angry often ^^

But then there's the whole SO6P thing

This is a very good answer. I think the Kyuubi thought he had a better chance of just letting Naruto keep lending his power instead of letting him die. Once Naruto relies on the Kyuubi's power so much he can break out and escape like he almost did at Pein.
