Three Chicago teens accused of gang-raping a 12-year-old girl at gunpoint and posting the video to Facebook will face charges as adults, Cook County prosecutors announced Friday.

A judge ordered Justin Applewhite, 16, Kenneth Brown, 15, and Scandale Fritz, 16, each held on $900,000 bond. The teens each face one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault.

The girl had gone to Fritz's house on 60th Place that afternoon to talk to him, and when she went inside, she saw Brown, with a gun in his pocket, prosecutors said. Fritz took the girl downstairs in the house and after she declined his demands for ***, he raped and sodomized her, prosecutors said.

According to court documents, Fritz threatened the girl, who had pleaded him to stop, by showing her a gun, and is alleged to have later filmed Applewhite and Brown raping her.

The girl went to the hospital and notified police the next day, according to Chicago Fox affiliate WFLD. On Dec. 17, the video of the rape was posted first to Brown's Facebook page, and then to the other boy's pages.

Prosecutors said all three boys appear on the footage, in which the girl demands them to stop. Brown reportedly held a gun during ***, and the boys could be heard shouting gang slogans.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Fritz provided prosecutors with a handwritten account of the events.

jks but this is exactly what I would expect from todays world. Our mind, our lifestyle, our way of thinking is corrupted by this system or should I say world order.

In current world, our kids are exposed to nudity and sexuality at such an early age. We barely embrace religion we are as far away from god as we can get. By the time you get to high school, you keep thinking about how to pick up and nail someone as opposed to learning about decency and virtue. If you are a decent kid, you will be classified as a weirdo and loser. The ideas of homosexuality and atheism are getting more prominent. The situation would only get worse at this rate. These kids are only products of this abnormality.

Honestly, these 3 are likely incredibly dull. Locking them up is probably best for us all.

I wonder what neighbourhood this is from. A mid-teen with a gun, and a 12 year old being part of their social circle. I wonder how they're all related.

Though, it still isn't the strangest story I've come across.

This is just a sad story. I feel awful about what happened to that girl. Her whole life is ruined because of those idiotic kids. She is never going to be the same and 12 years old is a really young age for someone to have to grow up because of trusting those boys. Those kids are going to get torn new ones in prison. I hope they record those kids getting raped and posted back on facebook just so they can know what it feels like to be in her shoes.
