he said it's the fastest punch that could suggest he is the fastest character when in 7 gates(no S/T). and a 1 hit kill, the air from the punch alone (which known as Hirudora)was able get through a massive body of water. If Gai was to go 7th gate an use CQC could anyone survive? Imagine what a kick is like from Gai we have not even seen him run in 7 gates. Kishi hasn't shown Gai fight in 7 gates other than vs Kisame for 1 second has he? IDK I'm starting to think 7 gate Gai is almost unstoppable. 8th gate is gonna be so OP it might just make Madara look like a noob. Why do you think Kishi put him out the village when Pain invaded?

Theoretically at the 7th gate he should be the strongest. It's always been my view that Gai is the most efficient user of chakra in the manga. This is because chakra is a natural resource utilized by cells the body during cellular respiration. Infusing chakra into modern ninja techniques is, by comparison, inefficient in terms of (results/chakra used).

The problem for Gai is there aren't any feats that directly document his strength, in terms of being able to lift or throw heavy objects. He does have extreme muscular control of his body, being able to perform the Asa Kujaku which, during his last fight with Kisame was around 500+ punches at supersonic to hypersonic speed (this is the speed required to allow enough friction with the air to produce the flames and the sonic booms associated with the technique). Also, he has been shown to have enough strength to jump right up into the clouds using just his leg muscles and cover a fairly large distance with the sixth gate.

Hirudora's ability to deliver a powerful shockwave through a fair distance of water, render a powerful ninjutsu technique null, annihilate all surrounding clones entities, and have a strong effect on the environment (a distinct shockwave that enveloped the entire island) emanate directly from one simple body movement. Obviously an insane amount of strength is required. This can only be achieved by inducing the 7th gate.

Gai isn't the fastest, but he's right up there. Naruto and Minato are much faster.

And on the strength matter, no. Physically speaking, Tsunade is still stronger and so is SM Naruto.

Gai isn't the fastest, but he's right up there. Naruto and Minato are much faster.

gai is fast in the 7 gates but do not forget minato and naruto. Naruto uses raw speed which is faster than gai's and raikage's teleportation jutsu. Minato on the other hand uses teleportation justu which is faster than all of the above. ( naruto, raikage, and gai ) So the fastest in the world are Minato>Naruto>Raikage>Gai in the 7 gates.

PLZ enlighten me, why not? compare him to anyone he out preforms them. Speed wise we have no seen Gai movei gates buthis attacks shows how much speed is involved no one does aything like that.

Tsunade put a small hoe in it Guy completel destroyed it. That alone confirms Guy's power> Tsunades. Guy was in base mode with Kakashi surrounded, Naruto wasn't.
