maybe it is a desperate attempt to make sakura relevant but it is a fair attempt seeing how a symbol we over look can have relevance like the uzumaki clan symbol which is on every leaf uniform and appeared in the 1st chapter only had relevance after like 500 chapters and i bet before than people would have rejected any importance of the uzumaki and that symbol
and yes the theory could be far fetched but one of the reasons why this theory will be rejected is because it relates to sakura

I don't want to change your mind then.... Cause I too want to see her getting some kind of power up and character development.... Currently she and Hinata both are getting some panel time but it will eventually be gone because now all eyes will be set on Hokages,Taka and Oro.... =D =D

The Senju did marry out of their clan with other clans, so who knows? It's never been explained to us where the Haruno clan got it's symbol, maybe that will come up in later chapters.

I know movies aren't cannon, but since Kishi wanted to tie it in so much as prep for it, I guess our answer lies in the movie when we see both of her parents and learn that her clan is far from strong(she was wishing she had a better bloodline like the others and that her parents weren't lame... could be a bad translation since I watched it with Korean dub).

If she does happen to be related to Senju, it's very distant. Her mom has no abilities as far as we know (other than being a prude) and her dad never made it past genin. We don't even know if she has any uncles, aunts, cousins, or grandparents... so. Until Sakura gets her development like everyone else got, who can say yes or no to ANYTHING about her?

Haruno is Family Name not a clan name There is no Haruno Clan. Just like Kakashi,Jiraiya,Orochimaru don't have a Clan the same is with Sakura.

Anyone that we know about that has a last name, has a clan..
