So here is my theory on how orochimaru will get acces to mangekyou sharingan(MS) and that will be his "power boost" considering he has been sealed for awhile, and hasn't got a chance to improve his skills, eventho his arms are back he won't be able to compete with Naruto, Sasuke, kakashi ect ect.
as you all know that orochimaru wants a sharingan and a body that he can remain in it a lifetime instead of changing body every 3 years.
So orochimaru was watching the entire thing from Ankio's body, and we know that Ankio's was spying on the akatsuki with yamato.
So this is Obito's laboratory when he did the surgery on Sasuke eyes, he transfered Itachi's eyes and Sasuke got acces to the eternal mangekyou sharingan(EMS)
So Ankio found Tobi/obito/madara's hideout, and got caught by Kabuto orochimaru got all the information he wants now ---> pay attention
Here after orochimaru revival he still hasn't given up his "dream" the sharingan.
Here we see orochimaru got his chakra back, but left Kabuto alive after what he has done to orochimaru, Kabuto is a traitor who served orochimaru for many years, instead of bringing orochimaru back he wanted to be him, and yet he didn't kill him, just took his chakra back.
Here orochimaru's body is made full out of Hashirama cells, he took over white zetsu body when he broke the seal.
Conclusion:
Orochimaru will go to Obito's hideout after the war is finished, and take a pair of sharingan. So how is he doing to get MS? well orochimaru doesn't have any friends nor siblings, how is he going to get the MS? you know it already?
Kabuto is the person who is close to orochimaru, and worked under him for many years, and that must made a connection between them. Kabuto's role in the manga is finished, and therefore orochimaru will kill him while he got the sharingan and that will lead the unlocking the MS.
1) will he get access to EMS?
no because you need MS+MS = EMS from siblings or very close friends to get the EMS
2) will he unlock the rinnegan?
No for madara he has EMS, and it took like 40+ years before he unlocked the rinnegan(40+ years? ain't nobody got time for that)
3) Ya what the point he will go blind ;d?
No he might not, because his body is made out of hashirama cells, and he is clever enough not to aggresivly use the MS, spaming susanoo and stuff
4) How will that benefit orochimaru?
This is the best "power boost" he can get in short time, to be able to compete with the others, and with a MS, he will be able to learn Jutsu's from 30 days practice to 5-10 days, and will be able to copy+save countless amount of jutu's, can see chakra flow ect.
