You can label him under as shinobi if you want by going by other characters words. According to the manga though he was a priest and just because he used ninjutsu doesn't make him a shinobi.

To me a shinobi is just a title that combines with the dreams,goals,emotions and aspiration within individuals who are willing to die for a cause beneficial to there love-one, country or even belief system. They are neither good or bad since they follow the instincts of humanity and embrace there ideology with confidence and pride. SO6P maybe considered a shinobi due to his visions in making the world a safer place by creating jutsu's that can be beneficial to those who are willing to follow the road of a shinobi. But remember he never made the system, rules or policies of a shinobi since that is embedded by the culture and laws of each village. Consider SO6P as a theorist a contributor to the pathway of a shinobi rather than a creator.

Im not sure, but I say no. Christian means christ-like, or to be like the christ right? How can Jesus try to be like himself? I thought everyone following Jesus was Christian? Someone like Jesus I assume wouldn't tie himself to any religion, he'd be like his father "I am that I am". Sir Derp nao you know I respect you this is in no way something to try and abash you. As for thread Rikudou wasn't just a Shinobi...he is the only one worthy of the title GOD of Shinobi imo. Hashirama and Sarutobi aren't just my opinion.

What you have put together is what it means to be a shinobi.. not what IS a shinobi.. Shinobi is a warrior.... everyone in your quotes you mentioned is a trained elite warrior.

Soldier should be bold, forgiving, heartful, and so on..... but does that make anyone with those qualities of a soldier? no.
