LMFAO!!! I was going to say counter bigfaterloser's respond by saying, "Well, he had to get back to training and tracking down Sasuke." XD

Well, uhm, yeah... he loves Sakura.

I think kishi would leave a few more hints if this was true. naruto has never been flustered or confused when talking to hinata or talking about her with others. we've never caught him mulling it over in his head, considering what she said to him or even just being confused. He just doesn't seem to think about her.

yes, I'll agree it's different, but if you look at it from the outside it appears he takes hinata for granted and over-values sasuke.

That's the thing though. After meeting Sasuke at the kage summit Naruto hasn't thought about much of anything. The only time he brought up Sasuke was when he met Itachi again and then he addressed the Hinata saving when he saved her during the war.

But other than those instances he's been dead-set on the whole peace thing. He very rarely gets thought bubbles anymore either (although those were limited before as well).

But Naruto as a character becomes quite scummy if he doesn't acknowledge Hinata's efforts to protect and save him. I'm thinking that Kishi left out any interactions or thoughts between Naruto and Hinata for their resolution. Whether that's a romantic inclination or not, we will have to see.

And again, he made it quite clear in chapter 490 that the reason he went into kyuubi six tail mode was only because of her. Kishi made sure to leave her as the trigger and only her. Admist all the chaos Naruto saw fit to only bring her up in that situation. I don't think that was a mistake, he definitely feels something for her (cannot be determined as romantic yet) but they are strong enough feelings.

His value for Sasuke I think is justified. That was the first time anybody his own age validated him. Not just his ideals, but his existence. Sorry for the lengthy post :p

... I guess when it's been like multiple years in real life you kind of forget that.

True story. This war has gone on for 115 chapters. Over two years if we got a chapter every week. But alas that isn't the case so its more like two and change. Maybe 3. But in naruto time its been....2-3 days.

I agree with a lot of this post. We haven't seen much naruto's thoughts for a while, and he doesn't tend to vocalize anything other then his peace shlick. I agree that naruto ends up looking quite bad if he doesn't seriously acknowledge what hinata did for him, that's why I made this topic, because he hasn't.

but a previous poster pointed out it's only been a few days. I guess I had forgotten that, and had thought several weeks and passed since the pain arc ended. this makes it seem less awful.

The biggest thing I disagree with you is that he changed into 6-tail form solely because of hinata. Naruto is incredibly protective of his friends and goes on and on about how important they are to him. He might have transformed if it had been any of his friends that had just been murdered in front of him. He's never seen that happen before.

And the validation sasuke gave him shouldn't eclipse all the other people in his life who know both care about him and want him to care for them as well.

Because he had to start training to control Kyubi which was immediately followed by a world war. He has priorities.

yeah basically. pretty sure protecting the world sorta comes first to trying to figure out your love life.

That's the only issue I have with the kyuubi thing. I swear if chapter 490 didn't say that I would have easily just ignored it and thought "Oh well".

Naruto came back to a devasted village and he then asked Tsunade if kakashi was dead. Right then and there he had two horrendous pieces of information that should have pushed him over the edge. Couple that with his vowe during the retrieve sasuke arc (where he said he would never use the kyuubi's power again) Naruto maintained his composure until Hinata was struck down.

This is what bothers me, Naruto only linked her to the kyuubi's unleash. I can't fathom why on earth that was put in there. It would have been incredible if Kishi simply stated "Because of the village's destruction and kakashi AND Hinata's deaths"... But he just names her. I seriously don't understand.

The only real thing we can take away from that is his emotional attachment to Hinata is somewhere in that range. Can't really see anything else that can be inferred.

It's funny, eh? Sasuke and Naruto ended up being some of the most complex characters I've ever seen and they're only 16 ^^

Because Kishi is going to do it for the finale.

C'mon man, we all should know this by now, pairings and shippings are concluded at the end....

Naruto has commitment issues, that's all...It's obvious that they'll end up together.

Hinata's whole character revolves around loving Naruto..If they didn't end up together thaaaaaaaaan. . What's the point of having her as a character?
You are blinded by NaruHina :p Hinatas character is complete. Her development is finished. The point of her character was to go from being this shy girl to finally opening up and become worthy of being a clan leader. She has obviously proved that she has the "strength" (i don't mean physical strength or in term of power) to be a clan leader in 615 when she motivated Naruto to not give in to Obito. Face it, her character is complete and saying that she needs to end up with Naruto to be complete is degrading to the character.

yeah, naruto does have bigger issues on his mind. hes reacting just like a guy who has other stuff going on and doesnt really know how to respond to Hinata's affection. He doesnt act like he feels romantic feelings towards her, but he doesnt want her actions to go unacknowledged (Kishi doesnt either) so he held her hand and gave her a moment and some chakra and now its back to the war.

because he loves sakura.

i wasnt going to add that part for Sakura's sake lol but agreed. yes still to our knowledge, we have solid manga proof Naruto likes Sakura, and this is too long before the war happened. at least, i dont feel like his feelings have changed over that quick...hes loved her since he was a little kid from what we know.

He has been kinda busy lately.....and naruto isn't the type to get all mushy and what not. Hinata and naruto will come together naturally when the time is right. Naruto has never taken a notice in Hinata before, why because all of a sudden she confesses her love that he is suppose to have these deep feelings for her? People want naruto with hinata for their own reasons, but does naruto want her? that's what you should be wondering

At least he cared enough to respond to her. He at least processed Sakura's confession faster in his head for him to quickly tell her something back and afterwards, he didn't even feel like eating.
