[Question] How much do you hate the English Version of One Piece

Seriously IMO none of the voices match and half of them are voiced by the same characters or it sounds really close.

I just don't like the English Dub as much as I thought I would. I fear for the upcoming episodes. Although Brook and the War better be good on English. It still gets on my nerves when I hear voices that don't match. Ace why do you sound like a drunken man?

4Kids was 1000x worse than the Funimation one. I grew up watching the 4Kids one on Toonami. I had no idea that they continued to make One Piece after Toonami stopped showing it. Found out two years ago that I missed 400 something episodes haha

The only voices I truly disliked were Ace and Chopper's.

Sometimes I hate the differences in Japanese and English Dubs of any anime, especially DBZ. King Kai goes from a deep tone to a croaky one

The thing is, Ace's actor isn't bad, it just doesn't fit his voice. Sanji's VA(Eric Vale) is a good example of what Ace's voice should have sounded.

Best Dubbed anime was DBZ and DB.. actually the only anime I prefer Dubbed.

You're perfectly entitled to your opinion on it but believe me, I felt the same way before I got stuck in and now I love it.

Agreed.

Nah, I don't think so. It's mostly for kids shows in my country, nothing that is well known throughout the world. Though he handled the casting of the voice actors for The Croods, and had a voice in it as well. But this is obviously a dub though.

Watched the dubbed version for 3 minutes and I thought it was terrible U_U That's why I only watched the subbed.

Personally I really like them, but I have yet to watch the Anime in its original voices, so I don't know how well they match. But I have always enjoyed dubbed Anime series over subbed. It is pretty much personal preference.

Really? Why? I love the english dub of Ace and Chopper's.
