Alright everyone has the same question!
Now everyone can use Earth Style, although the question is correct but i have some examples to prove that.
Earth Style was used by Third against Oro.

Ok, so the Justus comprise of Chakra and Hand Signs as Orochimaru once said that there are infinite jutsu... i don't remember in which manga he said that, anyways.

If you go back to the Zabusa episodes/mangas you'll see and remember that Kakashi (Copy Ninja) Copied his techniques by the help of Sharingan.
But to perform the jutsu he only required the chakra and hand seals/signs only. Sharingan helped him predict enemies movements specifically hand movements .

Recently we saw Itachi came to know how to break the Impure World Resurrection technique just by knowing the hand seals/signs.

But the thing is that to perfect a technique one should know the right amount of chakra to be used and that's where Kishi went a little wrong with all this stuff but considering that its a war where very high level ninjas are fighting. It might stand right.

Thats all what i think.
All justus that aren't Kekkei Genkai and use specific hand seals/signs and specific chakra can be performed by every Shinobi.

I think Kakashi told Naruto that he could have other nature styles but they wouldn't bas as strong as his Wind style since it was he primary nature.

Remember it was a wall technique that anyone could use. Kind of like how anyone can do a simple clone. Yes, it did involve the earth, however maybe it involves the movement of the earth like a telekinesis rather then the creation of earth.

There is a difference between creating rocks/wind/fire/etc out of your own chakra, and turning dirt on the ground into a wall, using your own chakra.

Itachi didn't break the edo tensei with hand seals/signs, Madara did. Itachi did it with Shisui's eye layering a genjutsu over the edo tensei which apparently gave him his own free will.

I don't know whether all shinobi can use all chakra natures. It would be contradictory to past statements in the manga, as no one can use all changes in chakra nature except for those who possess the rinnegan. Other than that, there's shinobi who can use 2-3, but that's about it. Special shinobi with kekkei genkai can use 2 at once to create another element or 3 at once for dust release.

There's an entire army of shinobi on that battlefield right now. Considering Kakashi has stated that most shinobi can use 2 different elements by time they are jonin, and many of the shinobi there are jonin, there are probably quite a few who can use earth element. Not only that, but there's probably others who can use earth but just don't know or haven't learned how to use it effectively yet.

To sum it up there's shinobi there who posses the ability to do earth element techniques but aren't skilled in it. That's why Shikamaru suggested an easy jutsu that anyone can do.

I don't think one statement from Shikamaru in this chapter completely trumps all of the past things we've learned in the older chapters. Re-read chapters 315-316 where Naruto learns how to use Wind nature.

Only the SO6P and rinnegan users can use all 5 elements, otherwise you would see more shinobi who could use more than 2-3. There are exceptions of course, like Kakazu who was able to use many elements thanks to having the hearts of others in his body.

Maybe, just maybe they can all use 5 elements, but if one doesnt have a natural affinity for the particular element they just can't do much with it, outside of very weak jutsu that would be useless in battle.

The earth style wall was a very basic technique so all the shinobi were able to use it quickly but the walls created by them were weaker than Iwagakure shinobis.

But yes, you are at the right point. A shinobi can learn any jutsu as long as it is not a KG or it does not require specific chakra type/level or specific skills which is beyond the limit of the shinobi who is using it.

I agree. Basic and low-to-mid-level jutsus are probably usable by any shinobi that can perform the seals and route their chakra properly.

Those that have an affinity for a particular element of jutsu, however, are simply capable of greater jutsus of that element and scaling up the lesser ones.

yeah they have made it clear along time ago anything can be mimicked as long as it's not a kekkei genkai, kekkei tōta, etc. don't know why everyone using a low grade wall is shocking to anyone
