Tsunade received hype that depending on your interpretation would over shadow Hiruzen’s hype. Jiraiya stated that in combat and medical prowess she remains unmatched, because Hiruzen was their sensei this is a claim that Jiraiya had the ability to make.

Characters such as Chiyo remarked on her incredible skill as medical nin. Tsunade claimed in battle that she cannot die.

While that is obviously a stretch, it has some degree of merit to it, namely she has certain abilities that grant her Pseudo-immortality while she has chakra.

Tsunade’s strength:

One of the qualities Tsunade is especially known for is her brute strength. Many would argue that she is not physically strong but it is nin-taijutsu which makes her strong or chakra enhanced strength. While it is true that we know, Tsunade can use chakra enhanced strength as she taught Sakura how to use such an ability.

The majority of Tsunade’s strength however, comes from brute strength. How can we know this? In order to realize Tsunade’s natural strength we must look at a few forms of evidence. I will display the evidence in terms of strongest to weakest.
The first reason that we can know that the majority of Tsunade’s chakra comes from her base or natural strength relates back to part 1. According to Kabuto, he cut her Biceps Brachii and the Rectus Femoris muscles when he attacked Tsunade.

His goal was to stop her from using her “enormous strength.” At this point, it is worth noting that both Orochimaru and Kabuto realized that one blow from Tsunade would mean death in the beginning of the fight. Yet, after her natural strength is taken away Kabuto is very much still alive after taking a blow. Which seems to suggest his scalpels did what they were supposed to do. Now, your reply may be, maybe she decided not to use her chakra enhanced strength and that is the reason that he lived. But that does not seem to work as the resulting force from her punch traveled down from his face down his body and to the ground cracking it in several places.

This seems to suggest that she still packed a very hard punch. And chakra enhanced strength not killing him does not cause a plot hole because when Sakura used her strength against Zetsu she did not kill him.

Essentially, a chakra explosion is created. Therefore, lifting and wielding large objects cannot be accomplished through Chakra Enhanced Strength. To get an idea of how heavy Gamabunta’s sword is we will see him use it against opponents near his size because Tsunade used it against an opponent his size. When used against Shukaku, Gamabunta said it was all I can do to complete the swing of my sword.

Afterwards, he lost his sword because he did not have the strength to maintain grip of it. When used it against Manda, Gamabunta was unable to take the sword from Manda’s mouth

Because we are now comparing the strength of Gamabunta and Tsunade, now would be the time for this tangent; to show that Gamabunta is not a weakling. He was powerful enough to hold down the Kyuubi for a short period of time.

Tsunade however, despite being much smaller than Gamabunta was able to completely lift, grip, and maneuver his sword with perfect accuracy whilst jumping much higher than the height of Gamabunta (this will be discussed a little later).

Because Chakra enhanced strength plays no role in this we can get a better idea of Tsunade’s brute strength.
There are obvious ways for Tsunade to use her brute strength and there less obvious ways. Tsunade has been shown to use her strength to create shockwaves aimed at attacking

. Based on the effect on the walls in Tanzuka Town we can infer the shockwaves have enough force to kill if they have enough force to break stone walls.
Another aspect of Tsunade’s strength is her ability to alter the terrain through her strength. She has demonstrated that she can run in such terrain but where such an ability really becomes advantageous is against speedier foes. She will force them to slow down, so that they do not lose their footing. Yet, she is able to maintain her footing.

Tsunade’s strength makes itself manifest is in the height in which has jumped. I think this will make it abundantly clear, just how strong she really is, without relying on a multitude of scans to make my case. Now we can know that Gamabunta’s sword is similar in size to himself.

With him nearly being bijuu sized. We see the sword is land directly in front of Katsuyu.

However, while Jiraiya uses his Katon neither Tsunade or the sword are anywhere to be found.

The only logical conclusion that we can have since Tsunade later comes from the skies and stabs Manda is that she is in the air.

Since she can’t be seen we must presume that she jumped higher than the flames. In addition given the height she was at when she was seen manipulating the sword in mid air we can see that she jumps to incredible heights.

As a strength feat, this speaks volumes.

Tsunade’s Healing Jutsus:

Tsunade is known as the world’s best healer. Chiyo remarked on how Tsunade alone was the only person who could counter all of her poisons, when Chiyo herself was a poison specialist. And apparently, Tsunade effortlessly countered Chiyo’s poisons.

It’s also worth noting that countering the poison is not necessarily in the antidote itself as Tsunade would literally pull the poison out of the body

That said while antidotes are preferable being able to directly remove the poison out of a body would also serve as valid means of countering poisons.
Tsunade’s mantle as a world class healer however, does not stem solely from her mastery of poisons. The healing feats she has accomplished speaks volumes. Tsunade is familiar with the interworking of the brain. How can we know this? Both Sasuke and Kakashi were damaged by Itachi’s Tskuyomi. No medic in Konoha could heal either of them and Tsunade’s expertise was needed. But when Tsunade arrived, she effortlessly cured all mental afflictions faced by Sasuke and Kakashi.

She was also great enough of a doctor to cure Lee despite the risks of the surgery

Tsunade is not only great healer but she is a fast healer as well. She was able to completely heal and restore the chakras of two kages simultaneously in the few moments that it took Raikage and Mei to attack.

Additionally she was able to heal thousands of villagers and shinobi at the same time while not even being near them.

. Many people say that Tsunade cannot heal the damage from closing and opening of the chakra network. However, Tsunade not only healed the muscles in Naruto’s heart but the chakra network that is in his heart as well.

It is also worth noting that in order to use medical ninjutsu well you must undertake quality control training for yin and yang chakra.

Finally, it is worth noting that it would seem Tsunade is quite skilled in fuuinjutsu. Why? The first form of evidence is fairly obvious. She possess the yin seal on her forehead. This is fairly obvious enough so a scan isn’t necessary to prove that. She is also a descendent of the Uzumaki clan through her grandmother Mito, who bore the same Yin Seal.

So from whom did Tsunade learn the Yin Seal? It would seem her grandmother. Considering her grandmother was alive to meet Kushina, it would follow that Mito would know her granddaughter, Tsunade, even in Tsunade’s adulthood. Thus it is a reasonable conclusion that Mito taught her the Yin seal. And it really isn’t logical to believe that is the only seal Mito would pass down. After all, Mito’s and her village would were all quite skilled in fuuinjutsu and given of what we’ve seen of Mito she is the type to pass down such information.

The next reason we have to believe that Tsunade is skilled at fuuinjutsu is due to the happenings in part 1 of Naruto. Orochimaru had his arms sealed by Hiruzen and turned to Tsunade to heal his arms. This demonstrates his knowledge involving Tsunade’s knowledge base involving fuuinjutsu. However, this is not in the least bit conclusive. Tsunade was able to detect that it was a seal on his arms.

Then she proposed that could fix his arms.

We know that she wasn’t just bluffing to get information because she agonized over whether to treat his arms for over a week.

Thus, the logical conclusion is that Tsunade has considerable knowledge of fuuinjutsu and is skilled with fuuinjutsu.

Tsunade’s crowning achievements as a medical specialist however are said to be the pinnacle of medical ninjutsu. Creation Rebirth works by stimulating all the proteins in her body to accelerate cell division in order to fix wounds. This technique is capable of regenerating organs and limbs.

This is the major difference from the similar abilities of Kabuto

. Those heal, while Tsunade’s abilities actually regenerate. The limitation that Creation Rebirth has is that it requires hand seals to activate.

Byakugou, however, seems to continually regenerate without the need of hand seals.

The utility of the two is the difference. Byakugou will heal all her wounds but that uses chakra to continually do so and it would also continually cause there to be more cells. Creation Rebirth can afford her to ignore small wounds and to continue to fight without wasting chakra healing petty wounds. We can also gather that because Tsunade can regenerate limbs and organs she can handle being cut in half just fine. In fact it demands the question to what extent can’t she heal from?

Tsunade can also use medical ninjutsu offensively. If Tsunade is the best medic, and Sakura has become better at poisons than Chiyo, and Tsunade compared Sakura’s progress to Shizune’s

then it would logically follow that Shizune is more competent that Sakura in dealing with poisons. I mean Kabuto said that even one breath of Shizune’s poison would spell death for him.

Yet Shizune said there was nothing she could do about the poison Tsunade gave to Jiraiya.

we can therefore, draw that the level of poison that Tsunade creates is a force to be reckoned with and given how she poisoned Jiraiya it is also apparent that she carries poison on her person.
Seemingly, by changing the intent of her chakra it can be either chakra to heal or to kill.

Based on Tsunade’s dialogue with Kabuto we can gain some knowledge about her fighter style with chakra scalpels. Obviously, she can use chakra scalpels

What we can gather based on her wording is that her fighting style was not as precise as Kabuto’s as she says “His jutsu instincts and sharpness surpass even my own in my prime.” We know she is referring to offensive medical ninjutsu as she starts that thought with “He’s no ordinary medical ninja.”

Thus, what we can gain from that passage is that she too fought with a similar style. However, it seems he had better timing and precision. And Based on how she asked why he didn’t just cut arteries, that would demonstrate that she was capable of such a feat thus we can reason that while she was not as accurate he was, her chakra scalpels are stronger. It should also be noted that just because she was not as accurate as Kabuto was with chakra scalpels that does not mean she was inaccurate. One can reason we can know she was still fairly accurate in her use of chakra scalpels is based on the fact that an inebriated Tsunade perfectly hit Naruto’s pressure point and disarmed him in one accurate move.

This seems as good a place as any to discuss Body Pathway Derangement. We will begin by talking about what Body Pathway Derangement is before we discuss it’s effects and usefulness in battle. According to Tsunade, she turned her chakra into electricity, to create an electric field, which she then poured into his nervous system at 360km per hour.

Now what I will highlight is that she turns her chakra into electricity. When explaining elemental jutsus to Naruto Kakashi used the term recompose which could be used interchangeably with transform. Regardless he said to use raikiri he recomposes his chakra to resemble electricity.

The second databook describes BPD in the following way “By transforming the chakra within one's body and giving it the properties of electricity, one creates an electric field.” Given the similarity between the way Kakashi suggest his raiton styled raikiri and her BPD works it would seem that this jutsu is in fact a raiton styled jutsu. The only arguable point then is whether Tsunade creates actual electricity which seems to be what the Viz translation implies or whether her chakra takes on the properties of electricity so that it resembles electricity as the databook describes. However both the databook and the Viz manga however do agree that Tsunade creates an electric field. The point that now interests me involves the question of how big of a field she can make given her large chakra pool? Another theory I would like to bat around involves the idea that she poured the electric field into Kabuto. When an Electric field moves it creates a magnetic field. I'm not suggesting anything just yet, but it is something worth thinking about. Now, to discuss the actual effects of BPD, Body Pathway Derangement does not only mix the signals the brain is sending out it also cuts off half of the electrical signals going from brain to body. Thus, while under the effect of the jutsu it would be impossible to operate at 100% of your ability. And because Tsunade sends the signal through the nervous system any contact between Tsunade and her opponent can cause the effects of BPD.

Tsunade and Katsuyu:

Of the main summons of the sannin Gamabunta is the smallest summon.

Right now what I want to highlight is the size of the summons. They are the size of tailed beasts. As I am not a fan of relative size comparison as that's often inconsistent in the manga and inconsistent based on the “camera” angle. So I wish to start the comparison with direct comparisons of size.

So then Katsuyu too is the size of a bijuu. Her arsenal is designed to be a supportive/defensive summon more than an offense based summon. That is not to say that she cannot be offensive. In fact her ability to quickly spit acid over a wide area has very limited defense capabilities. The acid is so strong it quickly melts through rock, it would also be worth comparing the size of the acid spat to Katsuyu’s overall size to understand how much acid was produced.

An ability that can be both offensive or supportive is Katsuyu’s ability to divide herself into thousandsNow thousands may seem like an exaggeration of her abilities. But consider this, Konoha is the military city in the Fire Country. (I mean for all intensive purposes the actual heads of state do nothing) Konoha houses the majority of the fire country's shinobi as Tsunade is in charge of the fire country's shinobi. The joint allied shinobi forces total 80k people. Among that you have shinobi from each of the five villages and samurai. There are probably less samurai than everyone else but for the sake of scepticism let's say that everyone put equal amounts into the army. 80000/6 would be 13, 333 people. It is konoha policy not to allow genins in war. At this point I would like to point out that Icelerate has helped me a bit with developing more realistic figures. The rookie nine’s graduation class was 27 people.

And that does not include those who did not graduate as Naruto nearly didn't. As you will see later, it is not plausible to think that those 27 children make up even the majority of the children in Konoha. Furthermore, of the 27 that graduated that year only the rookie nine opted to take the chuunin exams. We know this because Ino later says “all the rookies made it” which would imply the Konoha gennin who lost earlier than the final stage were not rookies. If there are similar patterns that would lead to an overwhelmingly high percentage of genin over chunin. Because Anko was only expecting single digits out of 78 genin to make it to the third portion of the exam and the preliminary round was held in order to take some people out of the running, we can gather that the number of genin is much greater than the number of chuunin and jonnin. Especially so, when we consider that only one person became a chuunin out of that exam.

So doing the math it would turn out that 1 out of 12 of the Konoha gennin featured, there were more such as though who were not featured or who didn’t take the test, became a chuunin. Because we know there were more such as this team

So we will say the figure 1/12 is generous. There should be significantly more genin than chuunin and significantly more academy students then genin and it would seem that the ranks tend to get smaller and smaller. Thus if we take the three smallest groups (Jounin, Special Jounin, Chuunin) and figure that the overall population of gennin and non shinobi (academy students included though not everyone in Konoha wants to be a ninja) must be much bigger. Also bare in mind there were some jounin that didn't participate in the war such as Ebisu and Kurenai who had to protect the younger ones. Therefore, the shinobi force taking into account all of the gennin would probably be around 20,000. Now in order to be a shinobi, they would need to get missions. The person who receives missions to give is the Hokage. So it's safe to assume all shinobi either live in or near konoha for the sake of their livelihoods. On the other hand, there were plenty of Konoha shinobi who weren't at the village such as team Gai, Sai, Anko and Yamato because they were on missions outside Konoha during the Pain invasion. We must also take into account that not everyone in Konoha is a shinobi. There are shop keepers such as the ramen guy. There are various merchants, tailors, bankers, inn keepers and so forth. So let's continue to be sceptical and say that because Konoha is mostly a military based city that there are only about 3 times as many civilians as shinobi taking into account Naruto’s class while that ignores children who did not want to be shinobi as I find it hard to believe that Konoha has over 60,000 citizens and only has twenty-seven 6 to 13 thirteen year olds. Which would hint that there are many more civilians. But that Brings Konoha’s numbers up to around 60,000 people with an extremely conservative number. ( Which is low balling it more so than I already stated imo. I think what Konoha has is a lot like what DC, and other nation's capitols have. Higher standards of living bring more people. And Higher standards of living seem to exist in the larger cities) So now we've agreed upon the conservative number of 60,000 people in or close to Konoha. Tsunade expected Katsuyu to attach herself to every villager and shinobi.

now obviously Katsuyu wasn't entirely successful in her task as 1. Nagato had to resurrect some. (though we do have to take into account a lot of people have died before Katsuyu got there like Kakashi or sometimes there was nothing that could be done like when Pein soul ripped shizune). and 2 we know she didn't reach every one as Tsunade said Katsuyu is attending to the vast majority of the villagers

Which even with our conservative number would leave over 30 thousand people with Katsuyu. Even divided in such a state, some minis were still larger than people. Now I started by saying this ability could be offensive and supportive. How so? It can serve as support because when surrounded by over 30,000 minis of Katsuyu it would easy to overwhelm someone as well as her altering the battlefield with herself. What was once a smooth piece of land becomes a sea of Katsuyu minis that are difficult to navigate around. How is this can this be used in an offensive manner, given Katsuyu minis have never been shown to have any difference of the original other than size it seems to be natural to believe that they too can spit acid. To avoid that many acid attacks would be a difficult feat most ninja. Other ways in which these minis can be utilized offensively and supportively will be discussed shortly A seemingly correlated ability of Katsuyu is that she appears to not be harmed by cutting based attacks.

In addition, she has an innate durability. Having been able to protect people from Shinra Tensei and being able to withstand Naruto's chakra cloak.

Now some would argue that Katsuyu did not in fact experience the corrosive effects of the nine tails chakra. Why do they argue this? Because Naruto is not naked. They argue that if his clothes survived it then Katsuyu must have been protected by his clothes. A strange argument to me. But we find that the manga tries to avoid jutsus making character naked. For instance, Choji can expand to gigantic proportions and his clothes fit him. Tsunade tanked Madara's katon and stayed intact. Suigetsu sometimes switches to a water form and still keeps his clothes on. So I find the argument that the clothes protected her invalid. Furthermore to reinforce my point, Naruto's skin was still ripped off as according to Jiraiya the blood is what aids in the redness in color and the chakra had to pass through his clothes. Now note that at 4 tails Naruto chakra was corrosive enough to quickly burn completely through Orochimaru's snakes.

. And Katsuyu has a few more useful abilities that are worth mentioning. It's been said that she's protected villagers. And the way she was able to do that was by enveloping them. In that instance, this ability was used as defensive move. It can be offensive as well considering she was able to envelop the people in the room fast enough that there was not time to object or fight back.

. In such an instance no jutsus that require handseals could be performed as the enemies body would be restricted from moving.
Her minis can also stay in your cothes, or sneak onto a persons body.

. Why is this helpful? Because Katsuyu can use chakra, and because she can heal it logically follows that she can insert chakra. Likewise chakra can be inserted into her. Thereby creating a safety net for genjutsus. But like her last ability this ability to can be offensive. As Tsunade can channel medical ninjutsu through her it stands to reason that should Tsunade change the intent of the medical ninjutsu (By changing the intent and the way you are using your chakra it would seem that medical ninjutsu can be used to heal or harm.)

I can see Tsunade enacting this jutsu while multitasking as she always holds the jutsu that keeps her looking young, while using augmented monster strength, while using forbidden jutsus, or how she keeps up her technique while she heals. If such a thing happens that could potentially be a death jutsu. Katsuyu's use in terms of intel. She is able to transmit information as soon as one of her minis knows something
In addition to the obvious fact that Katsuyu can crush people. Given the crushing power of this mini katsuyu it only stands to reason the a full sized katsuyu would be much more deadly.

Tsunade’s Stamina:

It would seem that Tsunade's stamina is hard to gauge in part 2 because of the way she has used her chakra in part 2. So I wish to break down the feats that plenty of us know into more palpable terms.

So Tsunade's first real stamina feat in part 2 was during Pein's invasion. Many people don't truly realize how much chakra she used. They simply remember her passing out from chakra exhaustion.

So her use of chakra began by her summoning Katsuyu.

Why is this notable. People summon all the time. While some people do summon often, what we managed to learn during Naruto's training by Jiraiya is that larger summons require more chakra to bring forth.

The reason we can know this is because Naruto had been summoning tadpoles for days with the amount of chakra he had been using but didn't summon Bunta until he used Kurama's chakra. And Jiraiya showed us what happens when the proper amount of chakra isn't used for a summoning

Now it's evident that used a sizeable amount of chakra to summon Katsuyu. But how large is Katsuyu? She is nearly the size of a bijuu. We know that Katsuyu is larger than Gamabunta and not just slightly. She would be approximately 1.5 times his size.

But why are we discussing Gamabunta? We've now seen Gamabunta go against Bijuus on two occasions so the way to compare Katsuyu's size to the bijuus is to use Gamabunta as the ruler. This is Gamabunta directly next to the 1 tails

Now we can conclusively say Katsuyu is larger than Gamabunta. Gamabunta is nearly the same size as the one tails. And his size is comparable to the 9 tails. Which would mean Katsuyu would more likely then be larger than the 1 tails. And the amount of chakra to summon such a large creature would be immense.
The Pein arc is pretty simplistic in her feats once you fully understand the gravity of said feats. Her next feat was using Katsuyu to attend to the villagers. Why is this impressive. So it is a given that healing requires a lot of chakra.

So much so that Kabuto was unable to heal from Naruto's rasengan.

You may say. Well duh Naruto's rasengan is totally baws. Fair enough but the reason this is remarkable is because Kabuto had just taken a soldier pill which is said to allow you to fight for 3 days.

So even with the chakra boost he still couldn't heal from the rasengan. Keep this in mind I'll be using this later. Yet Tsunade managed to heal most of the villagers. Tsunade healed those villagers continually throughout the attack. And did a mass healing pouring her entire reserve into healing after Chou Shinra Tensei. Considering there seems to be easily upward of 60,000 people in Konoha this feat is put into perspective.
The next major feat we'll consider is the War Arc.

Tsunade's fist notable feat was using Creation Rebirth when she arrived to the battlefield.

We've already talked about healing using a lot of chakra so I won't talk much about that. The next notable thing she does in terms of stamina is heal Gaara and Oonoki and give them chakra.

But Taz, how can you know she gave them Chakra? They had just exhausted themselves because of Madara's attacks.

In fact Oonoki was so drained he not only had trouble standing up but also fell back down.

also based on what Naruto said we can infer that she was giving them chakra as well.

If the clone needed wounds healed so badly it would have already disappeared. So why was there a threat of it disappearing? Because it had used so much chakra.

What does this tell us? It tells us that Tsunade is capable of handling the fatigue they had and their chakra expenditure up until that point. Which would include Oonoki's battles since leaving the situation room and Gaara's battles.

Now at this point it is notable to mention how many self wounds she has healed since she used the first creation rebirth when she got on the battlefield. Now compare this to Kabuto who even with a soldier pill could not heal from Naruto's rasengan and you'll realize how much chakra actually went into healing herself. When one thinks about all the jutsus Gaara and Oonoki used before Tsunade got there and realize that Tsunade had enough chakra to replenish their reserves we can begin to appreciate her reserves. She then goes on to heal and replenish Mei. That's three kages who's chakra she replenished with her own. But she isn't done. She went on to boost Oonoki's Jinton to proportions we've never seen it at.

We know Jinton requires a sizable amount of chakra because when split in half Muu can no longer use Jinton. Tsunade's final feat before she herself receives chakra is tanking and healing from Madara's Katon.

But in order to appreciate the full power of those 5 heads look at what just one head did during Sasuke's fight with Itachi

My point being this is an extremely powerful technique, one the databook says has the capability to turn people into ash, yet Tsunade tanked 5 of these and healed from them. It's also worth noting the gokage battle waged on for a very long time.
People also tend to believe that Tsunade ran out of chakra in the battle against Orochimaru in part 1 but that is untrue for 2 reasons.
1. After the fight concluded she regained her seal.

2. When she expends all of her chakra she goes unconscious
So Taz, why did she get so old then? Most likely because she released her transformation technique. It is the explanation that best fits the evidence.
It occurs to me that the stamina section would be the best place to talk about Tsunade’s longevity. There is very little that needs to be said. As a descendent of the Uzumaki clan she was bound to live long.

Tsunade has also demonstrated her longevity. I will provide two examples which I believe to be the most effective. I will state them in the chronological order of events. Tsunade was stabbed through the heart and survived long enough to be slashed twice more and to hit Orochimaru.

The next example will show Tsunade in an even more precarious situation in which she still can use summoning and medical ninjutsu.

Tsunade’s Durability:

While Tsunade is not the most durable shinobi, I would say that her durability is top ten. I think quality of feats is more relevant than having a multitude of feats. Thus, I will use only few feats to emphasize my point. I will go from least impressive feats to most impressive feats. Therefore, the place to begin is with her fight with Kabuto.
In her battle with Kabuto he cut her intercostal muscles, her bicep muscles, and her Rectus Femoris.

Despite this, she was still able to breath, run, and punch; things that should not have been possible given her injuries.
The next feat involves her enduring Shinra Tensei. She released her yin seal to heal the villagers, but obviously not herself as she is bleeding.

She did not have Katsuyu to protect her and she was running closer to the epicenter of Shinra Tensei when Diva Path used it.

Such a feat is notable because Shinra Tensei did this to the village.

A very powerful feat requires a bit more consideration. Tsunade endured the Heavenly Transfer Technique with only a few cuts.

This is despite Mabui’s warning that she’d be ripped apart.

To consider why such a technique would do that and fully appreciate at this feat we must take into consideration what the implications of light speed travel.

If any object is traveling toward point x at the speed of light. That would mean that any stationary thing between that object and point x is traveling toward the object at the speed of light as well, relative to the object. Things that are traveling toward the object and is between the object and point x would be traveling faster than the speed of light relative to the object. And things going away from the object between the object and point x would be moving slower than the speed of light. This would mean that if Tsunade is the object and Madara is point X, then the air in the atmosphere was affecting her body at or near light speed. Thus, the injuries she received are either from the air cutting against body at those speeds or other things such as insects cutting against her body. At that level of acceleration, impacting with an insect would be more deadly, than being shot by a bullet. Likewise, note how winds going 70 miles an hour rip homes apart, or to use an example how the wind from Kiba’s Fang over Fang is supposed to tear the enemy apart.

Therefore we can reason on the destructive power that Tsunade endured.
Finally, the last feat for Durability I will discuss is Tsunade enduring the Yasaka Magatama’s from Madara. Yasaka Magatama is Itachi’s most destructive technique.

I know he said he long range but we haven’t at any point seen a technique of his more destructive than Yasaka Magatama. But this was not Itachi’s Yasaka Magatama but Madara’s. His Yasaka Magatamas broke through Gaara’s sand shield and nearly through the stone golem as well.

So while Tsunade did heal from the resulting damage the point is that she wasn’t ripped apart by the technique.

Tsunade’s Speed and Reflexes:

Tsunade is not a speed demon by any means but she is sufficiently quick. We’ve not seen her take on an opponent that she couldn’t hit. But we’ll get to that in a moment. I first would like to use examples of speed feats Tsunade has shown.
The first instance of Tsunade’s great reflexes involves her being drunk. Drunk may be an understatement, she was completely hammered. Taz, how do you know how intoxicated she was? Kishimoto shows us.

Now Tsunade is roughly 108 pounds or 48.9 kg. Given that she had 4 bottles of sake and sake has an alcohol content of 14 to 17% and though the bottles resemble 12 oz beer bottles we’re going to assume they are only 8 ounces. Which leads to 32 ounces of sake. If you’ve ever had a four loko that would be about two fourlokos, or about 10.5 beers, or 6 shots of 80 proof. Given her weight, gender, and assuming 6 hours of drinking her BAC would be .35. Which would put her in a coma. So let’s say she’s been drinking for 10 hours. She would still be in a coma. And 10 hours seems unpractical given all that encountered in the day, namely, gambling, trying to get out of Tanzuka town, sightseeing with Shizune, and meeting with Orochimaru. Discussing twelve ounce bottles would just be redundant. She then had that beer while meeting with Jiraiya. It looks about half empty and it’s mug so we’ll say she’s at just over 11 beers for an 108 pound woman. So she should be completely sloppy. Maybe my math is a bit off, but if it is she is still slurring her speech as you see when she tries to order yet another bottle which at the very least would put her BAC between .18 and .30. And people do build a tolerance with alcohol which allows them to not feel some of the side effects of alcohol until they are further gone. Considering the databook has as one of her favorite foods “alcohol” it’s safe to assume she has a good tolerance and that my calculations aren’t misled. Yet she manages all of the following in such a state.

Given how slowed her response time should have been, and given how her muscle control and balance should have been affected as well this is a solid reaction feat.
The next feat I would like to use involves the current war arc. She hasn’t really been shown much in action since part 1 so this would be the place to display her skills. We can agree that when the gokage where put to sleep they were here

Yet Tsunade quickly cleared that distance.

Which is what led to Madara comparing her and A’s speed. She is slower. I do not and cannot argue that. But she is quick nonetheless.
Since we are discussing A let us take a moment to thoroughly delve into Tsunade’s speed feats in relation to A. For the second example, we’ll use a coordinated attack between Mei, Oonoki, A and Tsunade. Tsunade is clearly on the ground as Mei’s Suiton extinguishes the Katon and tosses Madara and his susanoo in the air. Tsunade is not seen anywhere in the vicinity to Madara whereas Oonoki and Madara are on panel coming to hit the susanoo. Directly afterwards, Tsunade kicks the Susanoo. Ay and Oonoki did not knock the Susanoo back to Tsunade as they are all right next each other after Madara’s susanoo is sent flying.

That sequence of events shows Tsunade’s speed because she was able to arrive at the same place as the Raikage just after he arrived.
In base, when Tsunade jumped to block Madara’s Katon she made it much farther in a short period of time than he made it when he tried to save her. The point that the Raikage was trying to reach was the exact same spot yet he only made it past Oonoki.

This would indicate that she is faster than his base because she covered more distance. And in terms of reaction times, Tsunade was able to react faster than Mei was. And she was able to determine Mei could not react in time and was able to think of and enact a functioning way to save the other kage. When Madara was about to attack the kage Tsunade was the only member of the kage to react.

Finally, Tsunade and A were able to completely approach Bee and Naruto in such a quick manner neither Bee nor Naruto saw it coming and both were barely able to react.

I do not subscribe to databook stats of any sort because they have discrepancies. I could name several but that will come later. The point I want to establish now is that Tsunade can hit people who are considered faster than her; some by the databook, and others just by the general populous. Shizune has a 4 in the databook and when she threatened to stop Tsunade even if she had to die trying; she was inviting Tsunade into a fight. Yet she was completely unable able to respond when Tsunade attacked.

Many consider Jiraiya to be much faster than Tsunade. The databook, which I will address soon, places him a whole tier above Tsunade in speed. Yet Jiraiya recounts on several instances, that Tsunade was able to hit him.

And if he was looking directly at her peeping and she still managed to catch him though he was looking directly at her that would definitely be a better feat for Tsunade. What we can say then is that Tsunade can hit him. That's not a question. Why would Jiraiya allow himself to almost be beat to death, like he said after that beating he was on the brink of death. What happened to him is not the same thing as Sakura hitting Naruto. Naruto is never seriously injured by Sakura. Tsunade seriously injured him to the point that he almost died. Even if he didn't fight back as hard as possible, would you believe that he didn't try his hardest to avoid Tsunade's strikes? It's not as if he didn't know about Tsunade's strength. He was her teammate and friend. Furthermore, for him to have broken ribs, and both arms broken she would have needed to hit him more than once.
This will be the weakest argument I use for speed or reflexes. People think that Tsunade could never hit Orochimaru. This is simply not true. In this instance, yes he was surprised she could overcome haemophobia the same way an opponent would be surprised she withstood a death dealing blow. She was able to kick him before he could regain his senses. Thus, she could do something similar to others.

On to the databook, the data book has several inconsistencies; especially with speed. For instance, Kakashi has a 4.5 in speed in the databook yet when he was running full speed he got blitzed by Kakuzu who had a 4 in speed.

In turn, Kakuzu was almost nailed by Naruto who has a 3.5 in speed.

In terms of stamina, Tsunade has a 4 yet she was capable of the feats described in the stamina section. Well Taz, healing the village in the way she did was calculated into having a 4 because 5 means you just have that much more chakra. Okay, but then why is it that Gaara who has a 5 in stamina had his chakra replenished by Tsunade. Who then went on to heal and replenish two other kage and she proceeded to fight, regenerate, and replenish some more.

Tsunade’s Intelligence:

As Tsunade is the world’s best doctor it should be obvious that she is indeed intelligent. However, I cannot make such a claim without backing it up. Because her medical knowledge is beyond apparent, I will speak more about her practical knowledge. One of the things Tsunade was praised for by Kabuto was her intelligence.

What Kabuto says allows us to know that Tsunade had an excellent understanding of war and battle. She was the first of generations of people and multitudes of nations, who proposed having medical assistance in the field.

From this we can gather that Tsunade’s understanding of was advanced she understood the necessity, and that was why Jiraiya said she was important in konoha’s victory in the second war. It’s also evident she knows what is necessary when fighting many enemies as she talked about covert ops, as well as fighting a few enemies such as in this war. She knew that for this kind of a battle, contrary to the ideas of Shikaku that Bee’s and Naruto’s strength would be necessary to win.

In her rules for medical ninja, and in her instruction of Sakura we see her knowledge of battle.

In combat she has created diversion for the enemy against Madara she used herself as a diversion.

Tsunade is able to understand how motivation affects people and their performance on the battlefield.

While Tsunade is an emotional person, she is able to rationalize and objectively analyze situations.

Tsunade can reason on the motives of her enemies and spot traps ahead of time.

Tsunade here indicates that she didn't just stick Yamato with team Kakashi for kicks and giggles nor just because of him being powerful, but also because he mokuton includes Chakra suppression.

Tsunade also shows that she knew that if the Hidden Leaf really crumbled then Naruto would be in grave danger, thus he had to fight to defend it if he had any chance in being safe.

In stressful situations Tsunade has managed to provide quick leadership the has a solid plan of defense. And she knew a means to hand out information instanteously is paramount. And therefore, she knows the value of information and thus would strive to obtain it through whatever means necessary.

Tsunade has also shown her ability to think up counters to enemies unusual abilities once she has information on them.

As opposed to most people Tsunade was able to perceive that Pein was about to launch a large scale attack.

Tsunade’s Combat Prowess:

Some seem to think that Tsunade’s fighting style is just mindless and styles punching and kicking, but that isn’t true; she is a versatile close quarters fighter. Keeping in mind that for the first time we saw Tsunade in action she was 4 bottles of sake and some beer in I think she did rather well. She was so drunk Shizune tried to cut her off.

In addition to the fact that Jiraiya said she was rusty, unrested, and based on the fact that drinking with her left him with a hangover it is a good bet that if she’s been drinking heavily the night before her performance will suffer.

That said, when she played with Naruto in the bar all of her movements were sharp, she easily avoided everything he had thrown at her and defeat him with one finger. She effortlessly dodged his shuriken, and his kunai stab follow up. She then accurately hit a pressure point whilst simultaneously disarming him and robbing him. She then showed expert control of the weapon as she attacked Naruto with the butt of the kunai and tossed it in the air. As soon as Naruto got up the kunai came down directly in front of his face. Her timing on the kunai throw and the accuracy of it combined with the accuracy in predicting Naruto’s behavior and assessing the right amount of strength to use to cause him to fall exactly where did was amazing, especially considering she drank enough to be in a coma.

When the battle between her, Kabuto, and Orochimaru started she started by trying to destroy the terrain. Why, because her fighting style destroys the terrain and thus she’s use to running over such hazardous ground.

Her opponents are not and thus such a terrain may slow them down. When they run away, in her desire to protect Konoha she refuses to let them escape. Most people think her fighting turns to crap here but it doesn’t. It could have been better but it’s been a long time since she was a shinobi. Why wasn’t it crap. Kabuto’s hand appeared right next to her leg yet she was evasive enough to get her legs completely out of reach.

She then used an attack that if he had tried to counter would have killed him.

He hid behind a rock. She with perfect accuracy kicked the rock where his head was, he however knelt as Tsunade kicked the rock.

While Tsunade was in mid-air waiting to land Kabuto cut her muscles, he was not fast enough to get away though because as soon as her foot touched the ground she was ready to counter attack with a sequence of moves. It was apparent that after she charged with her shoulder she was going to punch him as she took her next step, but as she took that next step her leg gave out due to having the muscle cut.

Against someone who doesn’t cut muscles that combination would have been devastating. Kabuto said he was aiming for the throat and thus Tsunade effectively blocked her throat, however, she had been led into a ruse that allowed him to attack her intercostal muscles.

To buy time she hit him with Body Pathway Derangement. That also demonstrates that she’s perfectly capable of using chop attacks.

With her strength a chop attack to the neck would end the fight. When she elbows Jiraiya in the head while it was not a serious attack it demonstrates that she is willing to throw elbow shots.

So what we have is Tsunade being able to fight with chakra scalpels if she chooses, Tsunade being able to use her monster strength, her still having solid taijutsu skills, and she is fairly quick much quicker than she was in part 1.
In part 2, she was able to hold her own against 5 susanoo clad Madara clones, and was responsible for taking out the first clone with her taijutsu. She was capable enough to break Susanoo and to force Madara into using his wood clones in addition to being so capable that she was the first that he praised and she was depicted as the second best offensively in the fight. Second only to Oonoki, and as a support she served a stronger role than Oonoki did as A’s support. Tsunade was also able to set a trap for Madara.
Based on flashbacks and the thoughts of Chiyo during the Sasori fight there are things we can ascertain about Tsunade’s fighting style. Chiyo remarks on Sakura being able to notice Sasori’s fighting style so that she can better avoid his attacks. She then refers to Sakura being a good apprentice. The logical connection then is that Sakura is a good apprentice because she was able to mimic abilities of her master. That would mean besides chakra enhanced strength Tsunade taught medical ninjutsu and how to read an opponents attacks and how to evade an opponent’s attacks. Thus in this instance, Sakura is a good apprentice for observing Sasori and his fighting style to reduce damage taken.

The next thing we can know based on Sakura’s flashback is that Tsunade did in fact teach her evasion. In fact Tsunade implies that her evasion skills are her best skills by saying they are the first priority. By rejecting Sakura’s claim that healing teammates is the first priority Tsunade implies that her healing comes second to her evasive skills. And since they share a scan Sakura shows us an example of reading an opponents movements.

Tsunade’s rule for the medical ninja insist that the medic not engage in battle, ergo attacking is not a primary concern, they must be the last to die so they can heal their teammates, and they have to die trying to heal their teammates. Tsunade is allowed to break these rules as she has mastered Byakugou. However, she did not develop creation rebirth until after she had retired from being a shinobi according to the databook. That would necessitate that she had to have great evasive skills to survive in the war without Creation rebirth. And she follows her rules now, except when all force is evidently necessary, even now she’s trying to heal the other kage as she is bisected.

One final note: It would seem as though Tsunade has a heightened sense of hearing. Why do I say this? Because she was able to determine Orochimaru's hearbeat was erratic,
