Could Nagato Control Tailed Beasts?

Is it possible, if we were talking about madara, no doubt he can but regarding nagato, he has his eyes and he's an uzumaki, he may have relation to senju but he doesn't have wood release or the sharingan to manipulate tailed beasts, so how can he do it? He's not a jinchurikki who can befriend and control tailed beasts that way like killer bee, yagura and naruto, altho they don't forcefully control the tailed beast, they got a genuine partnership.

We also know the Rinnegan is an evolved higher form of the sharingan so perhaps it should make sense if nagato can even if he can't go back to sharingan (like madara) because those are not his true eyes. Maybe maybe not.

Some of you might mention that obito controlled his six paths which were tailed beast jinchuriki, but he also had wood release and a sharingan, and the paths are obviously dead so via six paths, one with rinnegan can control them. However, can nagato control a tailed beast without doing what obito did turning them into his paths, can he just plainly control one with his rinnegan if a tailed beast was in front of him?

Think about it really hard....... If he was able to do that then there wouldn't be a need for akatsuki to separate or even form. It would just have been Nagato Yahiko and Konan. Nagato would have soloed everyone

interesting if he could some how get his metal rod receivers in them then he could use them like the bodies of the Pain. he can also do a summoning control like his dogs and bird with the receiver rods....

i guess that's true but when? when the ninetails was in the chibaku tensei, the entire beast wasn't out..it was on its 8th tail..not 9th so it wasn't the real deal to be controlled yet...

Only a Jinchuuriki can successfully control a Bijuu.
Wood Release is used to suppress the powers of the Bijuu.
Sharingan is used to manipulate the Bijuu but as Deidara said 'Since the Sanbi had no host of its own, it could not control it's own power'.

well about jinchuriki, if they are on same page, not so much control..they work together that's what makes a perfect jinchurikki, controlling is what the uchihha did and first hokage had multiple tailed beast under his possession, odd to think that he could supress them but not control them?

Wood Release > Bijuu Chakra. If one can suppress the Bijuu's chakra than controlling the Bijuu is no problem.
As for what Uchiha Madara did, even if he did tame Kyuubi using the Sharingan; the Kyuubi still didn't possess the power Naruto does now. Thus, manipulating a Bijuu using the Sharingan is NOT an efficient way of bringing out its power or using it for battle.
