We need to do something about this Gang culture and stop posting the faces of shooters all over the TV for weeks on end. We make every shooter a celebrity and were encouraging them to keep doing these acts because we focus on them! They are hitting every major event to get their couple weeks of fame. This will keep going on until we stop giving them the attention they crave.

Also executing more criminals just helped. Just recently a convict with a rap sheet that involved being in jail most of his life was released then he took a bunch of kids hostage. If we killed him earlier that would have never happened.

Still posting theses depressing threads I see, the US is crazy but I'm sure there's crazier ...in all this I wonder if World peace is ever gonna happen in my lifetime. I doubt it though
It is becoming more peaceful but lately we have been doing what every shooter wants us to do, post their message and their faces on every TV and website across the world. Its only going to get worse until we stop doing what they want.

Also a study by the FBI:

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and *** crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades…

Odd..... these incidents seems like a epidemic and mostly concentrated around the southern areas no? I am slowly beginning to give credit to those conspiracy theories. OR this may turn out to be new anarchist 'trend' like that totally illogical riot a while ago.

What's up with all the crap going on in the US?
The media. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Firearm homicide in the U.S. has been trending down (with the rest of homicide rates). It's been a good 30% worse just ten years ago. The media simply never chose to report on it (I believe they were busy covering our president choking on a pretzel for six months).

oh so this was black people
i see....
Gang-related firearm violence is not accurately reflected in the FBI crime statistics, however. A lot of non-fatal shootings go unreported as emergency room disclosure is not organized or voluntary. But, because gangs have turned firearm stances into emblems reminiscent of Power Rangers - most people who end up dead from gang violence are not the people in the gangs (but the poor sap behind plywood and a piece of sheetrock).

I believe we've had this discussion, before (or, perhaps, it was someone else in another thread). Crime rates among blacks are statistically higher. It's a product of the culture they created and exacerbated. That doesn't mean all black people are guilty by association - but when a style of music glorifies gangs, killing, drugs, and attacking police is claimed as and celebrated along with 'black culture' ... I really don't have much difficulty making the case.

Kudos to the people who don't fall victim to that.

wonder if this was 1 ofn those "RESPONSIBLE" people with guns
Who gave you a text input device?

The same person who gave this shooter a firearm, apparently.

Stop doing those staged shootings, damn american government!

I'm not really sure why they would need to stage shootings. There are as many firearms in this country as people (some estimates claim more). If a week goes by where some tragic firearm incident isn't available for the media to highlight - I'd be quite suspicious. 350+ million people with roughly as many firearms estimated to be floating around means that there are going to be some people getting shot.

Even if you could, somehow, take all of them away - that might keep people from getting shot... but then you have people getting industrious and creative with their violent tendencies and you have sarin gas bombings in subways, suicide bombers, and people coming to the realization that a diesel pickup with a bed full of gravel makes an unstoppable machination of mayhem when it is pedal-to-the-metal through a crowd (gathered for any purpose).

Though I do find this a little interesting:

Someone developed a fully 3d printable firearm. From what I understand - it has an exceptionally short barrel life (being all plastic); but it's still quite interesting.

The State Department decided to evoke the ITAR to pull the download from the site (though it's already hit the torrent streams - so it's kind of pissing into the wind on their part).

The ITAR is the same 'concept' used to keep companies like Lockheed-Martin and Northrop-Grumman from selling 'Stealth' aircraft and other defense technologies abroad. Any 'persons' manufacturing items identified within the USML must register and gain approval before they can participate in whatever the legal jargon identifies.

My question is: Where were these ****s in the Department of State when companies were outsourcing critical manufacturing processes, technology, and machinery... like the manufacture of aircraft wings? Taiwan is making more complicated and sophisticated integrated circuits than the U.S. contractors they have manufacturing their latest and greatest military hardware.

If the spirit of the ITAR were properly being enforced - the Clinton Administration would be on trial for treason. Though, being a politician means dotting 'T's and crossing 'i's to make wrong look presentable.

What happens when China builds an aircraft suspiciously similar to an up-scaled F-35 JSF? Meh. "No indication of any security breaches."

Guy builds a plastic .22 caliber handgun. "Nope, can't do that shit. That's a violation of regulations on the international sharing of technology."

My head would explode were I to do a proper 'face-palm,' here.

Im amazed his fat fingers can pull the trigger
I am glad the shooter was a noob and couldn't get an One Shot One Kill ...
Bt the way he was shooting he had no clue how to properly use a gun and was trying to "look cool" while shooting, your typical gangster. We need to do something about our gang problem.
wonder if this was 1 ofn those "RESPONSIBLE" people with guns
If you define shooting into a crowd of people "responsible" then you are a very very sick man.
