There was a lot of talk on the base about last chapter's ending, specifically, if Obito truly has no heart, or if he just used a genjutsu on Kakashi. The thing is, that doesn't really matter. The important part is the point Obito made in that chapter, be it through actually impaling himself or genjutsu.

All this time, people thought Kakshi might defeat/tnj Obito because of their past, by possibly telling him the true cause of Rin's death and such. But right here, Obito took that opportunity out of Kakashi's hands by telling him he already knows the truth about Rin's death and it really isn't about her, but about the ninja world and ninja system as a whole.

He did what he did to change that. And who is the person who also wants to change the current shinobi system? Naruto.

So, in this chapter, Kishimoto made it clear again that Obito's enemy is Naruto, not Kakashi. It's not about Kakashi's and Obito's past, but about Naruto's and Obito's conflicting ideologies regarding the future of the shinobi world.

I see it 180 degrees differently. What Obito said in this chapter will make Kakashi finally stop going easy on him, which will result in an epic battle between the two. Also, the talk between them further empowered their connection, meaning Kakashi has become an even more fitting opponent for Obito than he was before this chapter.

Also, you forget that "the Sharingan can show its true power if both eyes are together". It either means that:
1. The battle between Obito and Kakashi (in which "two eyes would be together") is gonna be incredibly epic
2. Kakashi and Obito will fight together against someone else

In both of these scenarios, I don't see Obito being Naruto's final opponent.

Nah, Obito's not that young for his age to be so characteristic as it was in the prophecy.

Ah, I remember you from another thread on that issue (Obito vs. Naruto or Obito vs. Kakashi) ;-)

Hopefully we soon will find out which way it will play out^^

Kakashi is no match for Obito, if all those chances Kakashi had at killing Obito where created by Naruto and Kurama. The only way Kakashi survives this is if he TNJ Obito.

So there are two endings to this fight, Obito is TNJ or he kills Kakashi.

That wasn't my point. As i said, it doesn't matter if Obito was just using genjutsu or actually impaled himself and has no heart. Likewise, it's irrelevant if Kakashi really had chances to kill Obito or not (if Obito has no heart and can't die normally). The outcome of such battles isn't decided by who has this and that ability or jutsu, but by plot relevance.

Meaning, even if Obito was somehow matched against Hashirama, he wouldn't be defeated, since that is not his opponent plotwise...

Well yeah, there is that too, I was just adding a point about why it doesn't make sense for Kakashi to beat Obito.
