This is very well thought out there is something however I would like to add to the Susanoo part. Sure Kakuzu could try overwhelming the Yata Mirror with elemtal attacks. But Kakuzu also has that thread like body which he could use to attack Itachi from under his Susanoo to either pull him out or pierce him.

I forgot about that technique itself. Kakuzu could very well do that... Though, can Kakuzu do this while still moving? I'm just asking because frankly I don't recall. . . And rereading the entire arc isn't too appealing right now.

Because if Kakuzu can do this while keeping his body moving, then I'd bump him up to around Sasori and Kisame's level. But if he can't, the sword of Totsuka is more than likely to cut him into pieces. Easily.

I say cut because it doesn't seem like Itachi seals things unless needed, as he only used the sword to seal a somewhat immortal Orochimaru and an Edo Tensei. And Piercing is harder to do than just swinging a sharp sword around.

And the Totsuka sword has shown to be pretty good at cutting up foes. Like Orochimaru's Yamata No Orochi form.

So, Itachi is going to defeat one of the most mysterious Akatsuki member's without his MS... hmhmm okay then care to explain how Itachi is going to handle Sasori's 3rd Kazakage puppet? with his iron sand which is daped in poison...? if Itachi sustain's a single cut he is out of the match.

Without MS Itachi won't be able to go head to head with Kakuzu whom can attack from so many angles at once with his element's Itachi's only hope is Susanoo but oh looky there...you just restricted MS...what a darn shame.

Yes, Kakuzu can do that while he is moving. He can even make his arm go underground. And now Imagine what would happen to Itachi if Kakuzu's Doton Domu hardened fist suddenly came out bellow him and punched him right in the face.

He's right about that, Kakuzu gets paralyses by a simple genjutsu from his 3 tomoe.Apparently Sasori doesn't have a brain yet he speaks,moves and thinks.

I honestly cannot recall if Kakuzu can do his thread ability when moving eaither purhaps another one of the NB'ers could answer this question?

Considering Itachi (when living) doesn't use his MS techniques lightly, unlike Sasuke. And only used the Susano when faced with Kirin. . Meaning that he only uses it when he has no choice and by that time is more than likely weakened.

The Domu hardened fist (If he still has his Earth element Mask) will at the least disrupt Itachi's susano and make it downgrade. It does appear that Susano needs some form of concentration and I doubt getting nailed with Kakuzu's fist would let a weakened Itachi maintain it. . .

Best case solution would be him blacking out a bit, or maybe losing consciousness. . . For Kakuzu, it doesn't help Itachi much at all.
