It's a good pairing but Hidan was reckless and got cut up often, he needed someone who could stitch him back together, which is why Kakazu's durability was perfect for Hidan and vice versa.

Itachi & Nagato really wouldn't be that great. Their attacks are so huge that they'd just get in the way of each other's attacks. Plus then the rest of the Akatsuki are weak as sh*t in comparison.

Real duo: Sasori and Deidara for sure. Why? Because I dislike Hidan and Kakuzu like a pair, we haven't seen almost anything from Nagato-Konan duo, Itachi was always leaving Kisame to fight alone, Obito and Deidara were solo'd by CS Sasuke, lol. Iron Sand, combined with C4 Karura will be unstoppable.

What I really want to see is Itachi and Nagato working together. I think Kishi should've showed us some more combined fight by Itachi and Nagato vs Naruto and Bee, before freeing Itachi from the Edo Tensei, it would've been epic!

There is none. Kishi already got it right - Pain and konan.

If konan fought with Pain, it'd be an unstoppable force. You couldn't even fly away, and you could be ST/BT into paper bomb traps. Not even kamui would save you.

Eh, still not the same is it. Also that sounds like it'd need assembling, how are the arms just going to magic themselves into hidan's sockets? And what about the head? In fact, why even have Hidan there?

Kakuzu and Kisame would be absolute monsters.

First off, you have access to all elements giving you a permanant Elemental superiority.

Secondly, we have individuals who, throughout their battles, never showed signs of being low on stamina.

Thirdly, their personalities work...Kakuzu makes detours, but slowly follows orders, and Kisame loves a good fight, but is also supportive to his teammate (he took a back seat behind Itachi) so I wouldn't see Kakuzu killing him.

Fourth, they are the tallest members as well as ones who have body tranformations to look rediculously scary xd!
