Manga is the term for Japanese Comic Book.
Manhua-Chinese
Manhwa-Korean

Without the drawings they were called Light Novels.

Manga are rocking,
comics are boring,
manga is contemporary and the future,
comics are ancient and should be put in a museum..

So it is the same thing as lets say DC comics and Marvel comics, there is nothing special that separates the two.

well this statement i completely bias , seen as how I know a lot more people who would rather read a good DC comic or Marvel one > a Manga
and I assume it'd be vise versa in japan

The art and Style of course. I thought it was pretty obvious.:(
Maybe even a 5 year old kid can Identify Which comic is from the Us and which one comes from Japan.

Yeah the art, but i mean like as in plot wise, character development, length of a series etc etc. stuff like that

To be honest I don't care who created the Comics or Manga..what matters to me is the Execution.
How can we Compare Stan Lee to Kishi to Oda to Kubo.?
Its' pathetic to compare one artist to another.

Well, for one the origin is of course different. Comic is from America, manga comes from Japan. Then there's the difference in the art style.

Maybe also a difference in subjects? Like comics are more likely to be about superheroes or so, while manga has a wider variety in genre. I could be wrong of course - I don't read many comics anymore.
