Why three tails didnt die

hey we all know that if the jinchuriki dies with the tailed beast inside the beast also dies.so why in the case of rin three tails was still alive?

It was at first believed that when the Jinchuuriki dies the Bijuu would die as well and if there was any moment in the Jinchuuriki's life in which they would get killed than the Bijuu would grant the Jinchuuriki their own powers in order for the Jinchuuriki so survive.


But the above is wrong. Yagura and Rin, both died but the Sanbi survived. The Sage himself separated the Bijuu because he knew that if he died than the 10 Tails would revive after some time and wreak havoc upon the earth again.

You never saw kurama die so why would the others have to die? Like the previous people said, it's just in a state of neutrality when it "dies" until it respawns
