Any tips on how to relax? I'm aware that I can Google tips on relaxing, but I'd rather get your own personal advice.
Well, it's difficult to do an entirely objective, mathematical approach without more information. What you've got shown is one pair. You're awfully close to a straight, but you're looking to draw on the inside of the straight, which isn't as easy. Odds are ~5:1 that both sevens are still in the deck. Making the assumption they are, there's a roughly 5% chance you'll draw one in those next two cards. What you really do depends on what you know of the player, how likely he is to bluff, and whether you think you can bluff him. However, based on your chances and the fact that you're well ahead, it's probably safer to fold.
That was a very nice try to my trolling question!
(raise all-in is the correct though because his move pre-flop shows that he most probably has an over-pair AA-JJ , thus I have more outs (I am in for a flush too) making me the favourite even if he does have said pair and decides to risk his whole stack for that)
Can you suggest me any interesting technologically/scientifically-oriented website? You know, interesting articles on basically anything scientific. A good layout would be appreciated too.
Correct answer? I call bullshit on that. There are no correct answers in poker. Furthermore, if you're making the assumption that he has two pair when you, at the time, only have one, going all in is too big a risk. You might be able to bluff him. You might be able to draw that seven. However, you're making the assumption that he has two pair when you have one. You'd really lay all your chips down when there's a five percent chance of getting the card you need? That's a bad idea. Better to wait it out until a better hand comes along, especially when you're the one in the lead.
Probably your most legitimate science site for a general audience isYou must be registered for see links. They're a good secondary source that provide easy to read versions of current scientific journal articles, and they're highly credible, so you can be fairly well assured that what they print is factual. Many science sites for the lay man tend to distort or over simplify things, but that isn't the case with SciAm.
Is it okay to dislike pink because pink just couldn't bother being red?
Do not misunderstand. In poker the correct decision is the one that is mathematically calculated to have the best chance to win. It may still lead to defeat, but that doesn't mean it wasn't correct.
Based on the remaining cards I would still be a slight favourite, let's say a little above 50% even if he does have an over-pair meaning AA, KK, QQ, or 10's. I am not making the assumption that he has 2-pair because he only holds 2 cardsYou are also missing that I have all remaining 6's and also all remaining diamonds as outs. That's why it seemed to you so bad. Add to that that he is an extremely tight player (that is the basic clue that lead me to say he most probably has an over-pair) who might even be scared that I entered with a low pair like a pair of 5's and hit 3 of a kind I might even make him to fold.
Nice, thanks. It looks good at first sight and I think I can trust you about the credibility issue.
Do you prefer symmetrical things, or do your eyes fancy asymmetry?
What comes to mind when you see this emotion: :bouncy:
How's life?
what's nu? ?
I still disagree. In that case, you are mathematically at odds because you have a 5% chance of drawing the card you're looking to get. Unless you're really convinced you can bluff the opponent, it's not a good bet.
Yeah, SciAm's decent. They're better known for their magazine publication, which is worth subscribing to.
The 13th letter of the Greek alphabet.
why do scientist name elements they discover after either themselves or someone famous?
That's incorrect, the 13th letter of the Greek alphabet is pronounced "ni", not nu. (sorry for correcting you but I just noticed )
why are women more attracted to me when im angry
foxyladyland left me and several other ppl VMs that she's leaving NB forever. When I saw it hours later, I was genuinely upset I missed my chance to say goodbye. Is it embarrassing that I care this much about an internet buddy leaving?
I am not incorrect. While the 13th letter of the Greek alphabet is often pronounced "ni" it can be properly spelled "nu". SeeYou must be registered for see links. While he likely meant it to be pronounced as "new", it's been written, not said, and I can interpret it as I please, especially for humor. Don't correct people when you don't have your facts straight.
