why people alway look for an excuse about being help.. itachi didnt try to kill kabuto. how u know kabuto is better than itachi? itachi is better than kabuto end of story what more? itachi use his OWN power etc.. others is just add or steal. obito is not beat itachi too.. obito keep away from itachi and he even status that if he knew about his secrets then he will be dead.. accept it! I don't think nagato can beat itachi. nagato cannot get pass his susanoo and itachi always made a blind move. god! plus itachi was sick. we never see any more of his powers.. i know he has more but never shown. because he never think for hiself.. just accept the fact no matter if he has help. nagato always use dead people on his side too! obito never tried stand up too.. I am agree you with itachi being 3rd strong ninja for intelligence, strength etc etc..

itachi was defeated by sasuke.......naruto is powerful than sasuke and madara is powerful than naruto at least for now, hashirama is powerful than madara. itachi is cool had nice attitude and fighting style, and was even skilled but he is not in top 3 powerful characters of naruto.............................. Nagato died but edo tensei made him regenerate then
Nagato attacked naruto and bee and he almost kill them .

Until itachi came and saved their ass's .
He told them to distract nagato with their attacks so
He can seal him for goood .
