I think to some extent, young people have always defined themselves by their number of sexual partners. However, love still persists.

Our understanding of memory and brain function in general is nascent at best. I couldn't really tell you. My girlfriend is in psychology, and her undergraduate research has focused on prospective memory (remembering to do things in the future). It's all fascinating stuff, but there isn't a lot of credible work to go off of.

Sometimes I know the answer, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I know the answer, but it's useful to provide sources to back up my statements or provide extra information to the person asking the question. No one knows everything.

I'm going to try and finish it, but it's finals week, and I've got other priorities.

-It's an instinctual behavior that predates human speech. It's hypothesized that before we had languages, laughter was an integral part of non-verbal communication. Even people born blind and deaf laugh. It's hard wired in us.

-I think it's entirely possible that in all the universe there is other life out there. It may be in a different form than what we know as life, and it may not be intelligent, but it could be out there. I highly doubt intelligent life has visited us on Earth.

-Most land vertebrates produce tears as a means of lubricating their eyes. However, to our knowledge, humans are the only animals that produce tears from emotion (ie crying).

-I think they're funny, and sometimes they really piss people off, which I find even funnier.

-I really like it. I enjoy being here.

-Yes, I just wish they would come out sooner.
