Naruto never chose to be the reincarnation of the sage :| right now he is only trying to protect the world, he himself doesn't even know what he is. He chose to be the child of prophecy only to prove that his dad wasn't a failure...

Naruto followed his own path and that's to never give up. He chose to fight to protect his friends... That's the reason he is the reincarnation of the sage. Because of his ideals and beliefs he stayed true to (which is the same beliefs the sage had), even when others tried to prove him wrong.

naruto represents the ideals of the sage not his powers,that's why the bijuus trusted him and shared their power with him.

If the bijuus trusted him Enough to give him their power,technically a combination of their donated chakra ressurects a mini Juubi,and even the power of a Mini juubi can grant Rinnegan as Rikoudu got his from Juubi.

The problem is not that Naruto is getting really strong, a main character needs to be very strong. The problem is HOW he got stronger, Naruto was a story about a young underdog that made it by working hard. And now he doesn't present hardwork anymore. One can not work to be a reincarnation of a god.

Nagato and Minato were also the child of prophecy and look what happened one turned evil and one sacrificed his life for his son and the village. Naruto would've died many times or turned evil if he didn't have the aid of others. Tell me what did he get handed to him? Nothing. He worked hard for everything and if he ends up getting the powers of the SO6P is because he's earned the respect and trust and because he trained his ass off to get there.

hes not going to be the reincarnation of rikudou...hes gonna have the sage's body yes...but not his eyes...so he cant fully be rikudou...sasuke will have his eyes...and together they will represent the sage as a whole

I'll explain. Jiraiya was foretold that he would either raise a savior or a destroyer. Jiraiya was dead at the hands of pain when he brought himself back to life with willpower alone. That act made Naruto the child of prophecy. However, we'll take this a bit further. What made Jiraiya choose Naruto? The asnwer is Naruto himself. Hadn't Naruto chosen his ninja way, Jiraiya, as his teacher, wouldn't have to comply with it and could have just died the first time.

Also, Naruto went to the Sage frog to have his future foretold. Did the frog ever mention Naruto being the child of prophecy? Nope. I'm sure Naruto would have been told something important as being the savior of the world, don't you think?
