Kishi could care less about Sakura at this point. I would love it if he actually upgrades her, but he wants to focus on the Edo Kage's, Orochimaru, Naruto, Sasuke, Madara, Obito, Kakashi, etc. I think she should be better than Tsunade by the end, since the previous generation gets surpassed.

we have plenty of time left for kishi to develop her further. i think he def has something in store for her....her time was supposed to come after kakashi's and kakashi is probably just now happening....so sakura is probably next. as for the interveiws that said kishi forgot her? i heard those were fakes, most of those interviews are translated wrong

I have been thinking about this idea since the start of 2013. I hope that this theory would be canon one day. Frankly, 2 or 3 chapters that are Sakura-centric won't hurt anyone. Sakura is a protagonist after all, and she has been undermined and underdeveloped compared to other characters, especially Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi.

I personally blame Kishimoto for Sakura personality and development that makes her so easy to hate... I really hope that something great, instead of just the fulfillment of her affection for Sasuke, is bound for Haruno Sakura soon. :)

Chatte you never stop to amaze me with your threads =D

I think it's great how you can pick up on things like this and total think it will happen, after all Kishimoto did say he was going to develop Sakura in the future!

Have some love

Update:
Well, coincidence much or not, again, when Hashirama is mentioned, guess who is featured?

Soo, so many coincidences...
I have to say that when I first saw your thread I came here with prejudice because of the ideas you supported. However, after reading the extensive research you did, I'm forced to accept that there is actually such a possibility no matter what I believe. Well done for managing to gather all these proofs for a subject which, even though it's way far-fetched, you managed to present it with a plausible scenario.

This is an excellent theory and well researched and layed out. This is a direct quote from Naruto.wiki

"Despite being the heroine of the series, Kishimoto stated himself during the 2010 interview that Hinata would make a better heroine than Sakura, this is due to the fact that because Sakura not only has a 'normal' background in comparison to Hinata but also because he has a hard time making good roles for female characters like Sakura, having stated on several occasions that he has a very hard time viewing her as the heroine of the series. However, Kishimoto also stated that he would try to have Sakura play more of a heroine role in the future."

Maybe this is linked to the role Kishi is trying to give her.

Actually, Kishi never said that Hinata would do a better heroine than Sakura. That is a false information posted by NarutoWiki.

That doesn't make her the heroine, nor she is barking. Have a little respect for the character you're supposedly supporting. It was a fair Hinata development in the context of Hyuga heiress subplot.
@Everyone else: Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately I am quite busy and cannot answer at the moment, maybe if I'll have the time, I'll do it!

Sorry to resurrect a sorta dead thread , but I feel as if I have something to add.:O:O
Now please keep in mind that this is nothing more than a crack-pot theory that has been floating about in my mind for a loooong time.

(This is spoiler-ish for anyone that hasn't watched Naruto Shippuden yet - and you SHOULD.)

I've always thought that Sakura would one day be able to perform the Revival Jutsu that Chiyo did on Gaara - without putting her life at risk.
I've always kinda thought this because she is probably considered the second best medical nin in the Naruto-verse, and one of the common themes in Naruto is for the current generation to surpass the previous - Kings on the Shogi board and all that jazz - and this would definitely make Sakura surpass Tsunade. :yay:

(Plus, even though we got a bit of character development in 632, I still feel as if Kishi has a long way to go to make up for the years of a flat character with nooooo development whatsoever Zzz; I WANT TO SEE A SUPER AWESOME SAKURA THAT CAN REVIVE STUFF!:ilu:)

Any thoughts?

Very great find Chatte! I love how you used many examples within your explanation, giving it a relatively better feel for those that have a harder time understanding without the use of pics. I fully agree with everything you have posted and, having Sakura being the main heroine, it makes perfect sense. Kishimoto would not create a female protagonist that cannot hold her own for this long unless he has a plan devised for her. I find it funny how so many people bash Sakura from the use of her new power already without even getting past the fact that she didn't even get the chance to use the full power of it and only executed 1 little punch, not even getting through to them that she just barley begun to fight yet. It shows the ignorance of those fans and cannot put it past them that Sakura is getting screentime and upgrades for herself. I am just wondering how Sakura will fall into place with that symbol. Is it indicating she is related to Hashirama himself? or perhaps is she part of a clan? Afterall, the only ones depicted so far with the use of the yin seal have had Uzumaki blood in them, so I wonder how this falls into place with Sakura? Either way, makes you really think about how close they (Hashirama and Sakura) do resemble one another in ways.

I also thought it was interesting to note the symbol on Hashirama's head when in his mode, was also the same that Sakura wears on her outfit and in her room. I feel that being the main character she is, Kishi knows he must upgrade her relatively quickly in order to keep his audience with her on the move. She has been due for a change of pace for a while now, and as I have stated earlier in my other posts about her, that being the main character that she is and training with a woman who, is not only the 5th Hokage who also specializes in being a Sannin, but also has Senju DNA in her. Sakura is going to come out powerful no matter the outcome. If your theory is true, then people better prepare for a very powerful Sakura which, would explain all the talk she has been executing saying that she has "finally caught up with them"

I personally thoroughly enjoyed all of your examples and thoughts on this matter regarding Sakura's updated power, and even thought it was rather long, it kept me interested and on my toes to keep reading. I am a fan of Sakura myself, and I hope that she does indeed get something good for her that will have people look at her in a better light than the one she is already displayed in. Great job on this thread and your theory on Sakura! :)

Could make sense.

To reference Derp's lineage chart you'd have all the main ancestors represented in Team 7 (Uzumaki-So6P: Naruto, Senju-Hashirama: Sakura, Uchiha-Madara: Sasuke), just a thought.

We should accept something that's like a fact...

F*cking Kishimoto is such a sexist.

although is a nice theory, the thing I have seen that this is foreshadowing is that Sakura would be a medical ninja and is because of the symbol explanation. The rest to me, is more like trying to make everyone change their mind in liking Sakura or not, by implying that Hashirama was the same as Sakura and they went threw 'similar' things. However, because it was already clear out that the one Hashi resemble/parallel is Naruto in more ways than one, it throws this theory off. Don't get me wrong, everyone knew Sakura would get strong, but if Kishi wanted Sakura to actually foreshadow Hashi he would have made her the main resembles instead of Naruto.

Aaah, to be honest I did give it a go, however, I think it will be a mix between that jutsu and Tsunade's.
A lot of foreshadowing back from part 1 came to be true, my theory here came to be true.
When Chiyo stated that next time, Sakura should risk her life for someone who is worth it and that one day she will be a greater kunoichi than her master, it was a clear foreshadowing.
For now we have Sakura becoming a greater Kunoichi than her master. SO maybe that risky thing will come to fruition as well. :)

This last chapter kill this thread. Give it a rest.

Which one? 632 that proves my theory right?

Thanks a lot, dear!
As we've seen, the theory came true, in a way or another. ^_^
Though there are still things yet to happen. :)

Yup, all 3 of them are associated with the 3 big clans.
Funny how Sakura and Naruto are both associated with Senju/Uzumakis.
Naruto's case we know.
Sakura's case with the Senjus given the medical techniques and with the Uzumakis given her newest acquired seal. :)

although is a nice theory, the thing I have seen that this is foreshadowing is that Sakura would be a medical ninja and is because of the symbol explanation. Uh, I am not trying to make anyone like Sakura. I was merely pointing at some similarities in the character conception traits, that's all.
And because Naruto is paralleled more with Hashi doesn't throw this theory off. They each have certain patterns that parallel each other.
By this logic I should've dismissed Naruto paralleling Hashirama because he isn't a medical ninja? No.
Each to his own.
