Pain was one intimidating fellow.

Oh another one I forgot to mention: Taka vs Kage and their bodyguards. It was so nice seeing Sasuke being pummeled over and over, he had it coming for so long...

I loved all the battles during the sasuke retrival arc just the way they were fought and the emotions that arc is what got me into naruto

that was good, but i think the reader knew that sasuke won't be defeated because he's one of the main character...

the result of that fight was quite predictable as well...

I quite enjoyed the difference in animation, it help convey the intensity and emotion in the fight.

Lee vs Gaara= Interesting abilities, interesting characters, not boring flashbacks, epic moments, and the badass final stand. It made Lee my favorite and it was the best fight in the show; i think it still is.

I voted for Jiraiya vs Pain because I was blown away when I first saw how powerful Rinnegan really is and deserving to be the strongest dojutsu.

Also I finally see how powerful Jiraiya trully was especially with sage mode + Ma and Pa frogs, which convinced me that prior to that episode he could be the strongest of the Sannin.

Jiraiya and Nagato are one of my favorite characters in the series too which made it more epic
