If Madara giving Nagato the Rinnegan is a (somewhat) commonly accepted fact (or theory) on NB, why don't I see as much discussion (outside of my posts) that believe the opposite?

That is, that Nagato was born with the Rinnegan and unlocked before Madara unlocked his Rinnegan?

Madara didn't flat out say he gave Nagato the Rinnegan (except when Obito was posing as him) rather it's just implied.

Finally, with Kakashi's quote how the next generations succeeding/surpassing the previous generations (for example, in the case of Madara and Izuna, they were the 1st Uchiha to unlock Mangekyou), that would leave the possibility that the Rinnegan could be supernaturally/genetically passed down to Nagato without any "help" from Madara.

I accept the fact that Madara may have very well given Nagato the Rinnegan but until it's shown in the comic and confirmed by Kishi in either/both a statement and the the next data book, I feel that Madara is lying.

madara defintely gave him the rinnegan he even states somewhere that he gave his "real eyes" to some boy and that the ones he had were a spare when he was talking to obito

Zetsu stated that Madara's Rinnegan was in Nagato's possession and Madara also said that he "left" his eyes with someone else himself.

I was looking and didn't see where Zetsu said that, Invsblphntm. Unless you are talking about Obito's Zetsu side that was talking about that, it seems more like Obito was assuming.

Also, please people, answer the question I had. Also, those "spare" could have also been someone else. I don't know who.

Also, the timeline of when Madara died and Nagato "unlocking" them during the 2nd Shinobi is really the biggest thing that could refute/confirm my view that Madara and Zetsu are lying.

1. Madara did say a Uzumaki
why? His mom is also a uzumaki!

2. Someone else surpassed madara to rinnegan since he said spare "eye"
Why?? If I must say that means nagato would have sharingan and rinnegan and not just rinnega. And how did he get it in both eyes meaning he awakened them himself

Because I think he assumed that Nagato was using Rinne Tensei.
