What happened to Yamato?

As you all know, Yamato was captured by Kabuto and used to infuse the Zetsu clones with Hashi's DNA. What we don't know however was what happened to him. I'd like to hear what you all think about this matter.

OT: He's actually only been gone for like 3 or 4 days tops, the alliance has other things to handle right now. I really do hope he appears in the manga again, I liked Yamato.
