That's what it can touch you but you can't touch it means, it is an ancient weapon that was deemed to make the likes of itachi invincible. When nagato got impaled he couldn't absorb totsuka just like he did with bee's lariat. Have you ever thought of that? Of course not, your fanboy logic is a hinderance to common sense that everyone else can see.

And Don't say some stupid excuse that nagato was being controlled or he couldn't see through little dust with a powerful doujustu (rinnegan). When nagato was being controlled he was absorbing all of the ninjustu that was being thrown at him until itachi's susanoo proved nagato's arsenal useless against susanoo.

Using FMA to prove your point isn't going to work, when i said couldn't do anything because of the dust, i was implying the absorption of susanoo.

We see nagato absorb rasengan and even lariat on contact, yet when susanoo hit him twice nagato couldn't do so.
Still there is no excuse if nagato couldn't see with the rinnegan, then that shows how pathetic he is with them otherwise nagato did see it coming and he couldn't do anything.

if you will review manga, 6 tailed naruto anchored its tails on the ground to counter the force. and that shinra tensei comes from a weakend deva path. not even half of the strength of nagato's shinra tensei in full power.

He isn't underrated. I think he's a bit overrated, he sure is the strongest Akatsuki member, but I don't think that no one can't solo him. There are some like Hashirama and Madara who would defeat him I think. He lost to Itachi because he played rogue to Nagato, attacked him with Totsuka while he wasn't seeing. =D

Itachi surely can't solo him, but there's still a few characters that can:

Madara
Hashirama
Obito

First things first, we are talking about the most powerfull members of akatsuki.
But, Nagato would've won this fight.
The reasons are simple :
Itachi's stamina is very low. One of the reasons that Naruto could beat the 6POP was beacuse he has incredible stamina, and could enter Sage Mode twice, due to his clones. Basically, Naruto was the worst kind of enemy to a weakened Pain.
Nagato with full powers and his 6 paths would basically own Itachi. But I think Itachi could win Naruto SM. Just like paper-rock-scissors.
