He took the kind of burden no shinobi ever had to endure in my opinion.

Even hashirama acknowledged Itachi as a better shinobi than him meaning, Itachi's actions were justified SO I agree with point 3. He had the burden of being hated by the village and his brother who he wanted to protect.
